BRUISED HEARTS [ONGOING]

CHAPTER 01

"You are the love that came without a warning; You had my heart before I could say no."

Something very soft hit really hard on my face, waking me from my deep slumber. I just needed a good sleep but I should've known better.

Just then another hit came in and I was completely awake.

"I love waking you up this way. Arm workout in the morning does relax a person."

What else was I expecting when I asked my bestfriend to stay over. Of course only she would do this.

"Next hit coming up in 5-"

I cut her off in the blink of an eye, I was sitting upright on my bed. She smirks and the next thing I knew the pillow was on my face.

"You're welcome" She said in her cheerful voice. "Get ready if you don't wanna get fired on the first day."

I sighed as I remembered its the first day of my job, not actually the first day but the first day I have to go to the office. Since, all this while I'd been working from home on my laptop which seemed a lot better that having to appear at the office.

I had moved out of my old apartment yesterday and just moved in to my new new one last night. No special reason for moving out except that I'm more close to my job and my bestfriend, Brooke.

Glancing at the table clock, I have enough time to get ready and reach on time.

After doing all necessary things, I decided to get dressed. I pair my beige pencil skirt with a black button up top.
Lastly, putting on my black pumps and gathering up my files, I walk out of the room only after making sure I had everything I needed.

Brooke was already stuffing her face up with the leftover noodles from last night.

"You look hungry" I sarcastically commented to Brooke who now ate like a caveman. She glares at me and I raise my hands in fear, letting go off the topic.

Wherever there's Brooke, there's food. They are an inseperable bond.

As I walked in to the company, I was stunned at how big of a place this was. The interior looked so elegant.

I was supposed to meet the board director in Room 72 and finally found the way there.

Just as I opened the door, someone came out from the door and unfortunately we bumped into each other.

I began cursing myself for being so blind and clumsy. I looked up at the person who I had just bumped into and i was dumbstruck.

I thought these moments only happens in movies and not real life. But those bright green eyes raging with fire really made me feel as though the world had stopped.

Holy Shit! He is the Board Director and I am so sure that this will be my last day here because he looked so angry like he'd do anything to destroy my mere existence on earth.

"I'm so sorry sir. I was really nervous and got distracted and I didn't realise someone was on the other side of the door. Please dont fire me. Sir,I can give you my word that it wasn't on purpose because If had- "
