The end?

I called out her name, although I knew this was the end for me but I wanted her to know that I was grateful that I had met her.

"I'm honored....that we were partners." A single tear rolled on my cheek. I close my eyes.

Before I could feel anything, I'm already gone.

Wait what is this?

I open my eyes again, bothered by a bright light.

Where am I?

Am I dead? Is this what is after death?

A loud beep sounds and some sort of door opens in front of me.

What is all this?

I touched my surroundings to orient myself, it seemed like I was in some sort of tub. I get through the door of the tub, I blink a few times to habituate myself to the lights.

I observed the room I was in, it looked like some sort of lab. I was dressed myself in white clothes.

Where am I? Why am I dressed like that? And most important of all, how am I not dead?

"Jiyeon? You must have woken up. Let me run some tests on you before you do something else." Wasn't that the man number 42. How is he alive? I'm pretty sure he was dead.

"Wait, Am I dead? How are you alive? Where am I?"

"Sit down and you will understand afterward."

He put something on my head like some sort of crown but technological.
