*Mirandas P.O.V*
After nearly an hour of waiting, I walked into the hospital and made my way to the front desk. "May I see Noah Hartmann?" I shyly asked a nurse at the front desk. "Im sorry only family members can see him right now," "I'm his sister" I quickly lie hoping that no one would notice. "Oh! Okay well follow me this way please." The nurse slowly walked me down a narrow, yet elevated hallway, and into a room where I noticed a helpless Noah turning slowly in pain. "Hey" I managed to say before the tears came out, "hi" he said softly. "Noah I'm so sorry that this happened to you-" "it's okay, you helped me, instead of leaving you decided to stay an help me, why?" He asked, I didn't know if I should tell him the truth, or lie, so I just said what I felt. "You were in so much pain, I saw him hurt you." I stated while turning my head to the floor.

"I had to tell Savannah, she would be worried, and I told the lady at the front that your my brother so I could come see you" I laughed as Noah smiled. When I noticed the cut on his lip and his swollen eye it made me wish that I could have done something about it.

"Miranda?"
"Yea?" I answered, "thank you" he managed to say in pain.

*Noah's P.O.V*
Miranda was very kind to me, I didn't know why but the way she almost cried when she gazed at me can only show so much.
"Oh my god, Noah!" I hear a worried soft voice from the door, "what did he do to you?" Savannah worried, "I'm fine, thanks to Miranda, she helped me." I stated and smiled softly looking over at Miranda. "I'm sorry Noah, I have no idea why Donavan would want to hurt you!" "He told me to stay away from you, do you and Donavan have something going on?" I asked
"No! We broke up a while ago, he can't demand you to stay away from anyone!" Savannah argued while taking a seat. "I'm going to go get some coffee," Miranda shuffled in her pocket looking for a dollar until she found one and winked at Savannah causing them both to giggle a little. "When I first came to this school, I expected everything to be different; life just manipulates you, making you think that everything is going to be okay but once you grip on to that little piece of happiness, only you, yourself can destroy it, and you let it be destroyed by something so stupid," I mutter leading tears down my face. "Noah?" "Savannah when you look into my eyes what do you see?" I question "because I can look into your eyes and I can tell so much about you."
"Then go ahead, tell me what you see" she hesitated with a weak voice, while moving closer to me. "When I look into your beautiful green eyes, I can notice sadness and happiness mixed up together as if you feel both, pain in sadness and pain in happiness, however something is holding you back from sharing your feelings because your afraid, your afraid of being let down again and your afraid of losing someone that means everything to you" I pause for a quick second to maintain my voice. "Your sadness became fear, and your fear became your motivation." Savannah looked deeply in my eyes almost noticing my soul, "I see nothing but scared blue eyes waiting for a happy ending" Savannah smiled "happy endings are expressionless and impassive, happy endings show no emotion because we believe that a happy ending is something that ends in an amazing way but look at the other people around us, they have no happy ending, so what can a "happy ending" mean to them. Happy endings have different meanings with different people causing it to be emotionless." Savannah stared into my eyes and held my hand "and what is a happy ending to you?" "I don't have a happy ending" I answered Savannah.
"Hey guys I brought you back some cof-" Miranda stopped as she looked at us "its okay we were just talking" Savannah laughed.
"Mister Hartmann, you're free to go" the nurse said as she brought me my clothes and untangled me out of the machines, "thank you" I smiled at the nurse.

I quickly changed into my clothes when I realized that not one blood stain was on it, maybe they had washed it. I rapidly ran out of the room noticing Savannah outside with Donavan, I walked in a different direction as I took out my phone and called my father.
"Dad can you come pick me up?" I asked with a soft voice "sure Noah where are you? It's very late!" My dad shouted over the phone "I'm at the hospital" "what why?" My dad asked "an incident dad, please hurry!" I hung up.
"Well did you like the beating I gave you?" I heard a raspy voice next to me knowing it was Donavan "leave him alone Don, you hurt him enough" a boy said , "Asher help him please" Savannah said as Donavan walked over to me. "I said leave him alone!" Asher shouted while shoving Donavan, "don't fucking touch me, I'll do whatever I want!" Donavan screamed while picking up Asher. I stepped in and pushed Donavan and he laughed, Asher got up and was knocked back down when Donavan vigorously punched him, I quickly ran to Donavan and tackled him. Once he fell I unleashed in anger and threw multiple punches, Donavan soon froze and was covered in blood. I was paralyzed for at least 5 minutes just looking at Donavan, my dad pulled up on the drive way and helped up Asher as well as me.

"Get in the car, all of you now" my father shouted. "Noah what has gotten into you?" My dad asked while I still gazed at Donavan. "Come on, let's get them home" my dad and I jogged to the car. We drove out of the parking lot all very frightened, we noticed Donavan get up limping his way to a group of many other scared people.

"Do you guys want to go to our house before I drop you off?" My dad asked, I kept staring at my swollen bloody hands and I kept thinking about what Donavan would do when he saw me.
"Yea, sure let me just call my mom" Savannah answered, "yea, same" Miranda followed. I turned back to look at Asher and thank him for helping me, "thank you, Asher for defending me" "its alright man, you did the same for me so thank you as well," Asher was polite to everyone around him which begged the question, why would he be friends with someone like Donavan Hampton? "Alright were here!" My dad shouted as we all got out of the car.

"Hey can I talk to you?" Savannah timidly asked, "sure" I dashed up stairs and into my room and I sat at the edge of my bed waiting for Savannah to come, "wow Noah your room is amazing!"
"Thank you"
I looked around my room while Savannah looked at me, "can I ask you something?" Savannah said, "depends on what you define as something,"
"Noah I'm not trying to walk straight into your personal life and just leave, but you're always so quiet, you get these random heavy nose bleeds, and you get really nervous when you see certain people. You live in a huge house with two more rooms that are filled with stuff but your the only one I see here, why?"
In my head all I could imagine was Savannahs reaction when she knew the answer to her question, she would most likely just say "I'm so sorry everything is going to be okay" but I don't want to hear that anymore.
"Well I don't know anyone, and they're just guest room" I laughed
"Really? Guest rooms with pictures and computers like if someone else was there? Noah I'm not stupid, if you don't want to tell me its fine, I just want to help"
"No Savannah you don't want to help, you just want to get under my skin and mean someone to me so you can just hurt me in the end. I've been through this"
"Noah" savannah said while grabbing my hand.
I slowly sat down next to savannah as she looked in my eyes, "the blue room use to belong to my sister, she died of stage four pancreatic cancer. My Mom couldn't handle the pain of her only daughter dying and she killed herself, my brother and I couldn't handle the pain and we just started to mess up our lives, the room full of paintings and sketches was my brothers, Eliot he's alive but he's a senior in Omaha city central."
Savannah looked into my eyes and noticed the tears taking over.
"Savannah I think I should take you, Miranda, and Asher home, its getting late" I cried as I cleaned away my tears.
Savannah lifted her left hand and wiped away my tears, "you're mother and sister would have been proud of how amazing you are, Noah" Savannah started to cry with me as we both walked down stairs.
I walked across the living room as I called my dad.
"Dad I'm going to walk Savannah home"
"Okay but don't be late!"
Savannah and I began to walk to her house and we were silent for about ten minutes.
"Hey so about don"
"No don't appoligize for his mistakes. When he decides to be the person he really is, then will I forgive him but I'm not that easy."

We stopped and stared into each others eyes.
"Sam?"
Savannah leaned into me and her soft lips touched mine. That fireworks moment that people always said didn't exist was now believable, I liked Savannah and I honestly wanted her to be mine.
