Finally, after that whole adventure of walking down the street, Espresso walked into the café, soaking wet. Herb was serving a customer, and didn't notice Espresso coming in. Glancing at the clock, Herb, still not noticing Espresso coming in, had a worried expression on his face. After fulfilling the customer's order, Herb looked at the door, finally seeing his soaking wet friend leaning near the door, umbrella left discarded outside.

" Finally! " Herb said, smiling warmly. " I tried to keep your coffee warm while you were coming. What took you so long anyway? " Herb would ask, a bit confused on why he took so long to get here. " Mm. It's nothing, just bumped into a stranger. " Espresso would attempt to dry himself off while he fetched a towel from the back. Handing Espresso the towel, Herb would yawn.

" Anyway, do you want to stay in my room? The café is closing soon. " Herb would say, resting his head on the counter. Walking towards the counter, Espresso would nod, leaning on the counter as well. " Alright! Come behind the counter, and follow me through the door, okay? " Herb would say cheerily, as Espresso followed Herb briskly.

Behind the door was a small hallway, having 3 rooms with pieces of paper stuck to the wall above each door with a name, The Break room, The Stock room, and Owner only room. The owner only room had plant pots near it, so Espresso guessed that it was Herb's room. He was right. As Herb opened the door and went inside, he'd peek his head out of the door (still smiling warmly), and motion for Espresso to come in. Espresso loved Herb's room, it gave a calming energy, and he immediately felt better about the whole situation with Madeline.

Herb would sit on the bed, patting the place beside him, telling Espresso to sit with him. Running a hand through his dark hair, Espresso sat beside Herb, frowning. " So.. are you going to tell me on what happened? " Herb would say curiously. Sighing, Espresso would mumble out a small 'okay.' " Madeline has been quite.. suspicious these past few weeks. " Espresso admitted, still frowning as thunder raged outside, and the raindrops danced in the skies, falling down to the ground.  " And he keeps talking about this.. Pastry cookie? " Espresso would say. " Oh, Pastry cookie? She's a regular at our café, she comes almost every day. " Herb would say, sharing his take of knowledge with Espresso. " They often sit together and talk about.. The divine? They also seem to be fond of one another.. " Herb would say, starting to ramble a bit.  " They seem to be good friends, but I'm not sure.. " Herb would continue on, the man's face laced with small traces of worry, probably thinking that Madeline was cheating.

" Herb, I don't think that he's cheating- " Espresso would say, suddenly being cut off by Herb. " I'm not saying that he's cheating.. I'm just worried. Am I overthinking?. " Herb would correct, looking at his dear friend with sad eyes.  " Espresso? " Herb would say, calling out his name. He had been dead silent for about a minute. Herb would lightly shake the other man, snapping him out of his thoughts. " Hm- Yes? " Espresso would say, rubbing his forehead. " I- " Herb would say, stammering a bit. " I think you should break up with him- " Herb would say. " I'm not saying you should though.. that's your choice. "

A few moments of silence passed, feeling like an eternity went by.

" I'll.. consider it. "
