*Sophies POV*
The dinner was fun. Mikey told me that his favourite flvor of gum is watermelon. I didn't even know that exists! He also dyes his hair all the time. He is thinking about blue next time. I think it would look good.
I go outside so I can wait for the bus for school and I sit on the grass. I grab my book. Just as I was getting into the book a pair of hands cover my eyes.
"Guess who," said the person with his ands on my eyes.
"Uhm, George? I don't know. I only know one person and he has goofy purple hair. I'm not even sure if we are friends," I replied, trying not to laugh.
The hands uncover my eyes and then there is a purple haired boy sitting next to me. "What? I am hurt. Truly hurt," said Mikey.
I just laughed at him. "No your not Mikey, you can always forgive me,"
He nodded in response. "Yeah, I can. So are you ready for your first day of school?" he asked.
I looked at him. "As ready as I'll ever be."
A few more kids came to the bus stop and Mikey introduced a curly-haired boy to me as Ashton and a beautiful light red-head named Arianna.
"I'm Sophie," I told both of them. Ashton smiled as he held out his hand for me to shake and I gladly shook it. I looked at Arianna and she was looking at the ground.
The bus finally came around and we got on. I sat in the front of the bus until we finally got their. When I got off of the bus, I ask Mikey to take me to the office so I could get a schedule.
"So, how are you liking Australia?" he ask me to break the awkward silence between us.
"It's great. I've made a couple friends, now." I replied to his question. He smiled as we reached the office.
"Do you need me to stay with you?" He ask.
I shook my head. "No, but thanks Mikey. I'll see you later." I turned to the lady behind the desk. "Hi, my name is Sophie Louise. I am new here?" I said though it came out more in a question.
She laughed at my nervousness. "Yes, hi Sophie. I am Mrs. Stephanie. Here is your schedule. Your first class is down the hall on the right. If you need anything, come visit me and ill be glad to help," she smiled.
"Thank you Mrs. Stephanie. I realy appreciate it," I smiled back as I left the room. The bell rang as I was trying to find my class.
I mentally memorized the halls to get to my class.
201, 202, 203. There it is. Room number 203. I prepared to walk into my first class.
I breathed and then walked into the class.
"Ah, you must be Ms. Louise," My teacher said.
"Just Sophie," I replied.
He nodded. "Alright, Sophie, there is no seating chart in this class, so take a seat wherever you like. But you can't take it home," he looked around expecting for the class to be laughing but in fact, they were not. They were looking at me. Only me.
I smiled shyly and went and sat down. As soon as I sat down, I felt several pokes on my back. I turned around.
"What?" I said snottily to a boy with black hair.
"I just wanted to say hi, damn, I'm sorry to piss you off," He rolled his eyes.
"I'm sorry. I am just nervous and slightly on edge today," he seemed to understand.
"My name is Calum," he said with a smile.
"Sophie," I said back smiling.
Before I knew it, the school day was over.
