Heya people...! I added this song of Enrique Iglesias "PENDEJO" for this chapter. Although it has nothing to do with the story but It's expected that it is his very last album and i just can't get over the fact we are not going to get great music from him. Someone who has been his fan or have listened to his music will know that how good it is so i felt i had to add this to my story playlist and PLUS IT IS A GOOD SONG!!!XD

Experiencing loss is a part of life but good things come too, expect the unexpected and embrace it, you find people to whom you entrust your heart as much as they entrust theirs to you. That trust is sometimes broken, but it can always be restored. Yes, sometimes the road can be winding, you might even get lost along the way, but with the help of the right people, you'll always find your destination. As we grow old we realize, life doesn't always give us all the gifts we hoped it would and we mustn't be scared and we mustn't be sad as I was telling you at the beginning of this letter, experiencing loss is a part of life but it doesn't define it, because what really matters isn't whether you win or lose, it's the ability to accept changes in ourselves, its accepting that even if life doesn't always give us gifts we were hoping for, the real gift is life itself. ~Miraculous S3EP26

Azlaan's POV

Everyone had started to eat again. There was an awkward silence in the room, except for the clattering of cutlery on the plates. Aunty and Ammi were having occasional talks, trying to lighten the atmosphere of the room. Until I heard the voice of Abbu coming down the stairs with Shanzay by his side. Abbu was telling her something which made her laugh.

Seeing her laugh was the most unexpected thing I thought I would ever see on her face but damn she looked good. She should laugh more often, Wait- what? Inner slap, what is wrong with you Azlaan? Stop noticing her man be civilized.

"What are you both talking about?" Ammi asked Abbu as he sat on the chair beside her.

"I was telling her about the old days when we all were in university," Abbu said chuckling.

"Oh they were surely some good old days, do you remember Fatima that spot where we used to eat gol-gappaas (a street food famous in sub-continent) and chaat, and that guy used to add so much spice that Ibaad and Murtaza would nearly choke and would be on the verge of tears," Ammi added

"Yeah and they would get completely wiped out after their single plate and we could never get enough of it, It was just so Good," Aunty replied while chuckling.

"Yeah we had such great spice tolerance then...wish we had it still," Ammi said sadly.

"Yeah me too..." Aunty replied with a sigh.

We were almost done with dinner when aunty brought the dessert. Those looked like some finger-licking good brownies. A pleasing sight for the eyes.

"Yum...Fatima did you made these?" Ammi taking a bite of brownie asked Aunty.

"No Shanzay did..." Aunty replied

Wait, what! Shanzay..! Ok I just lost my appetite...I bet they would be bitter as hell.

"...but the recipe's mine" Aunty added.

Phew, then I guess we are safe to go.

"Oh...that's why they taste just like the ones you used to make," Ammi told Aunty.

I took a bite of the brownie and I must say that they did taste amazing, perfectly gooey and the chocolate ganache on top of it...tastes like heaven.

Well, tonight is just full of surprises...
