Shanzay's POV

As I collided with that hard entity I feel myself falling backward and a scream escaped my mouth and I landed on the hard ground with a thud!

The ground was still wet due to the rain which took its course to Islamabad yester night.

I opened my eyes and observed my surroundings. I saw a man opposite to me also lying on the ground clutching his head and realization dawned upon me that we both had bumped into each other resulting in our fall. I looked to my left to see all my things lying on the wet ground and my documents were all ruined soaked up in the muddy puddles. As soon as I saw those I started to have an internal panic attack.

"No No Nooo! What have I done? This is so wrong, what am I going to do now. These were such important documents that had to be submitted today. What will I do now? How can I be so reckless? Why it does always happen to me? Allah ap mere sath hi aisa ku krte hain? (Why God always do this to me?). Now I will fail this semester and then I won't be able to cope up with my fellow students..."

I was cursing at myself when I heard a silvery voice of a man

"Look it's not a big deal miss, you can print out those documents again and submit them after your class..."

I looked up to find the source of that voice and saw that Guy whom I had slammed with, had the nerve to give me a suggestion. I immediately felt anger building up inside me and I snapped at him

"Well excuse me, if it hadn't been you then this wouldn't have happened in the first place!"

"Um what..." he sounded completely puzzled.

I see...So this mister dumb need to have a reminder of what he did...!

"Now trying to act all innocent huh? IF YOU HADN'T BEEN RUNNING SO BLINDLY WE WOULDN'T HAVE FALLEN AND MY DOCUMENTS WOULD CERTAINLY NOT BE RUINED AS THEY ARE NOW!"

"I am sorry miss if you think that, but you're the one who's been walking from the wrong side and it's as much as your fault as mine..."

"How rude! Instead of accepting your mistake, you are blaming me...? That's what you guys can all do huh?"

"Well sorry to burst your bubble miss but I have no intention of quarreling with you because I have a lecture to attend," He said and with that, he got up and sprinted ahead and I was fuming with anger and cursing him with not so civilized words in my head.

I gathered my belongings and those tattered documents and brushed the dirt off my clothes and head for my class as well...

Azlaan's POV

I fell on my back when I slammed into that girl, who came out of the blue. When I managed to compose myself I heard her muttering curses and words of self-pity at herself so I thought I should try to console her as it was not such a big deal.

But it shocked me when she snapped at me! I mean it wasn't just my fault, right?

Even though she was pretty good looking and she had really attractive eyes and her bangs which fall on her face- wait...what? What the hell am I thinking? Stop it Azlaan and focus. I scolded myself.

I told her that she was the one coming from the wrong side but she was one feisty girl and soon started arguing with me.

I tried to keep calm and found it best to just walk off so I didn't lose it. So I got up and sprinted towards my class...

Fatima's POV

I turned around and was shocked to see...

"Rehana...? Oh my God, it's you Rehana" I said while surprised and happy at the same time and immediately embraced her in a hug.

"Fatima where have you been all these years? After I came back from London I tried to contact you but all your numbers were not valid and Murtaza also tried to contact Ibaad bhai but there was no response. We even visited your house but got told that you have shifted from there.

"Oh yes Rehana, you have no idea what we have been through...Ibaad he left us, he died Rehana. He left us all alone..."I told her while bursting into tears.

"Let's go somewhere and have a talk?" Rehana said and we went to a nearby restaurant and sat there.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rehana's POV

I and Fatima went to a nearby restaurant. I was so shocked to hear about Ibaad Bhai's death. After we went to London we had been in contact with them but as time passed, we got busy in our lives. Murtaza's business setup was also new so it required a lot of time so we lost touch with Ibaad bhai's family...

We ordered juice and sandwiches and then resumed our conversation.

Fatima's POV

"About six years ago, Ibaad signed up a business deal which required a lot of investment. When all the processes were nearly completed, his partner ran off with all of the money and we were bankrupt. Ibaad was very depressed. All of the friends from his business circle refused to help him and you know his relations with his family so they were of no help too. That year was very tough for us due to the financial crisis. I asked Ibaad to contact Murtaza bhai but he refused to say that you guys will get worried.

One year passed, one-day Ibaad was coming from office late at night when he met with a car accident and died on the spot. It broke me but I had to be strong for my children since then I have taken over the business" I said between tears.

"Oh my God Fatima! I am so sorry I wish I could be there with you in that tough time, I feel so bad" Rehana said with teary eyes,

"Don't be sorry Rehana it was Allah's trial for us, I just wish Ibaad didn't leave us so soon" I said with gloominess.

"How are the kids?" She asked.

"Alhumdulilah they are fine Shanzay is in university, she is doing bachelors and Moosa is in the first year of college," I replied

"How are Azlaan and Saadi?" I asked her.

"Both are fine alhamdulillah they also have a younger sister now," she told me.

"MashAllah! How old is she?"

"She is in 9th grade"

"What about Azlaan and Saadi?" I asked her,

"Azlaan's doing masters and Saadi had just completed his intermediate" she replied.

"MashAllah time passes so quickly they were just kids when you guys left for London and now they are grown-ups"

"Yes! You are right Fatima."

"Why don't you join us for dinner sometime? It's been so long so maybe we could catch up?" I proposed.

"Ok I'll ask Murtaza and then I will inform you," she said while smiling

After that, we exchanged phone numbers and chat some more until I remember I had to pick up Moosa from college and then the head office for an important meeting. We then said our goodbyes and parted ways...
