Hi everybody I know I went a long time with no updates and Im sorry. I find I have a lot less time and it is hard to get everything done. I hope you are all well. xx

This chapter is not very long but it was the best I could do right now I sorry!

Ok one thing that happens here- I was thinking about traditional wedding vows, and I doubt Anne in the books would really take issue with the wedding vows, but I think the Anne in the "Anne with an E" tv show would take issue with it, since the Anne in the show is more progressive.

So in this chapter, Anne is going to notice the wording of her vows and be unhappy about it.

But, I'm going to have Diana convince her that the vows are fine.

I think it's realistic for Anne to be unhappy with the vows...but I just don't think it is very realistic for the reverend to actually agree to change up the traditional wedding vows just because Anne wants him to. So, Diana will convince her they're fine.

Ok here goes:

-----

Gilbert was happy the wedding would be during Christmas break so that he wouldn't have to leave Anne every morning and be gone from her all day. He'd have two whole weeks to be with her before he had to resume teaching.

Best of all, accepting that their handsome teacher already had a beloved, the schoolgirls who once embarrassed him by giggling and blushing at him had now given him up entirely, and spent much of their free time dreaming of what it must be like to be Anne.

----

On Saturday Anne and Marilla went to the church to plan for the decorating.

"It'll have to be winter greens," Marilla said with regret. "Flowers aren't in bloom. I know you'd rather have that."

"I like winter greens, too," Anne said with a shake of her head. "Besides, if I married in the spring or summer I'd have done everything differently. I'd have the wedding outside in the orchard for starters."

"I'd be terrified of rain," Marilla commented. "At least we won't have that worry."

"Wouldn't it be wonderful if it began to snow?" Anne thought of, clasping her hands together.

-----

"Oh, it's to die for!" Emily exclaimed, lifting the tiny dress up to the light.

"Clara's all ready for the wedding," Anne said with satisfaction. "Now don't let her grow!"

"I wish she wouldn't," Emily said with a sigh. "They grow up so fast, I can't believe she's five already."

"I can let out the hem if we need to," Anne told her. "But we'll hope she doesn't get any taller between now and December."

"How is Walter understanding all of this?" Emily questioned. "Moving out of your house and into Gilbert's?"

Anne smiled faintly; the idea of Gilbert being a father warmed her heart. "It'll be just wonderful for him- for them both, really. Of course Walter knows we're moving into Gilbert's house but I don't think the reality of leaving Green Gables has set in. ...At least we're close by so we can come over any time we like. We could be over every day if we wanted to. And maybe we will: Gilbert will be gone all day and in the evenings he'll have to study and write, so I expect we'll be in want of Matthew and Marilla's company quite a bit. That is, after I get done with the housework. I'd rather be teaching like Gilbert but someone's got to do the housework, I suppose. Anyway I'm used to it. And the good thing about being home to do the housework is that I can be with Walter all day long. If the school board would somehow let me go ahead and be a teacher, I'd miss him too much."
