Chapter 42
You jump over Observer Alpha to try to stab her in the head, but she steps back so your strike misses its mark. You turn around and get in to a combat position, pointing your spear at Observer Alpha. "Let Nimi go, monster." You then do a couple of quick jabs to get Observer to drop Nimi, but she doges them with skill, and Nimi being in danger means you can't go all out.
"Fine then, you have her." Says Alpha as she throws Nimi at you. You drop you spear to catch her with both arms. You manage to grab her under the arms and put her down next to you.
"Nimi, stay safe, I can't lose you like I lost my sisters." you say with a smile. Stomping you feet on one of the blades of your spear, it flicks up in the air, and you catch it in you hands. You look at your target, who hasn't moved, and charge her. You stab your blade forward but she stops it and puts both hands around the pole in-between the blade. She then uses it to throw you over her head and into a siren ship behind her. You manage to use you tails while airborne and land with your feet on the deck. You just stare in to her eyes, waiting for her to make the first move. She draws a par of weird looking pistols, but before you could think she shoots at you with them. A laser came out the barrel and heads directly for your chest. Quickly pointing your spear at the beam, you manage to split it, but you get burns all up your left arm and gets kicked of the deck of the siren ship from the force. For gods sake, what is this girl packing.
Nimi's POV
You are sat on the water in awe of the fight in front of you, it's like watching one of those new contemporary dances
Athena's POV
"I don't know who you are, just tell me where At-ooff" she starts to say, but you cut her off by charging her and stabbing your spear into her stomach. She was sent her flying with a shock wave.
"shut you mouth observer, I will not let you take anything else From me" you say, a storm starts to form as you charge her, she gets up but doesn't manage to raise her defence up quicker enough and she is forces to fall backwards, but not before you give her a cut across her cheek. You tower over her with the intent to finish her off. Your about to push you spear through her throat, then she kicks your stomach with both feet sending you backwards, you slide across the waves until you finally stop.
You look to the siren, she's is approaching fast, she covers 50 meters in a couple of seconds, then she punches you across the face, you drop your spear as you get ready to punch her, you and her doge and throw punches, until you are hit by several lasers and are nocked sideways. You hit the water hard, really hard, hard enough that it nocks the wind out of you.
you push you self up after a minuet caching you breath, and the observer charges you, your spear is floating next to you. You pick it up and stab observer in the arm, she cry's out in pain the clouds crackle with rage, then you here someone yell "big sister stop" you hear unicorn scream as she sails over to you and observer
"unicorn get out off here, she's disserve all the pain she's gets" you snap as you start to twist the spear, she cry's out in pain again, and try's to remove the spear. Then you hear crying, you look over to see unicorn on her knees crying, your rage leaves your body and the storm disappears, you untwist your spear and remove it and go and confute unicorn. "Hay, hay, don't cry, please, look at me, I'm not angry with you"
"You promise" unicorn reply's quietly
"I promise" you say as you wipe away a tier on her face "if she means that much to you, I will not hurt her" you says as you bring unicorn in to a big hug, you just kneel there as unicorn cry's in to your arms, you look behind her and see Nimi sail over, followed by dawn and sunset they raise there weapons at the sight of the observer "girls guns down, she's friendly" dawn and sunset lower there pistols as Nimi just stares at you.
"unicorn, why did you call this one big sister, she's from the iron blood" says observer, you mentally go red, she's thought you where the enemy because your still in the iron blood uniform, so she came to rescue you and you attacked her.
"No, she's Athena, the one where here to save" unicorn says, you see observer eyes widen
"The royal navy have kitsune here" says alpha
"there's a lot you both need to catch up on" says hood "Good to see you Nimi, I guess that your the iron blood defect" she continues, Nimi nods strongly "Well the queen will be most pleased, and this time you can witness the full hospitality of the royal navy" she says, all the sudden you feel like your drowning you just cough up water more and more by the second
"Athena?" Nimi says as she croches down next to you.
Commander POV
A couple seconds ago
You are staring out you window as the HMS Blood Blade finely sinks below the waves, that's one less problem for you to deal with, you walk over to your desk and there is a present on it with the name nyx, who's nyx, all well, maybe it's just one of the humans swaying thank you for letting them get away with something they did to a ship girl, after all, you have to look after you own. You are watching the port from a safe distance, then all the sudden there is a big boom, the command office has just went up in purple ball of fire, the type of fire when siren ships explode, but this complicates things because the base in on full alert, so your forced back under the waves
Nimi POV
You are panicking Athena's drowning but she's above the water, and then she passed out. "get her of the water" you hear hood say without thinking you manifest your ship behind you and carry Athena over to it and lie her on her back on the deck, alpha starts to do hart CPR on Athena, you hear unicorn cry, Athena would not want unicorn to be sad, so you go and confute her "unicorn, don't worry Athena will be alright" you say as you bring her in to a hug
"h how, do you know" she asks, you look her right in the eyes
"Because we still need her" you say
Athena's POV
You roll on to your side coughing up water, it doesn't feel like your lungs are filling up any more, and it prove as you manage to cough up the last of the water, someone pats you on the back "thanks" you manage to mumble out
"your welcome" says the siren, god damn it a siren saved you life, what's more is what this siren did to you, hood puts a hand up to her ear
"The queen wants in to join here in her ship for a victory tea party" says hood as she jumps off Nimi's ship. You are about to join her but then Nimi grabs your arm
"I don't think that that's a good idea" says Nimi. you look in her eyes and see the concern and sadness in them, she nearly lost you, and you can see it's had an affect on her.
"ok, ill stay" you say, you walk over to the deck chairs , she follows you like she do it when you first meet, but that's ok you don't mind, "You know you don't have to follow me" you say as you pat her on the head
"I know, I know, I just don't want to lose you again" she says with a sad smile, you just pull closer for a hug, she gladly excepts it. You stay there for a while, just you and her "athena do you know what it like"
"What what's like" you ask
"What it's like to see someone you deeply care about, lay in front of you lifelessly" she says, your mind flashes back to the time when Yorktown was hospitalised by tester alpha, and that was horrible, and Nimi had to watch that happen to the one she loves. You subconsciously pull her closer. And hold her tighter than before. Pressing her head on you breasts. She doesn't moan at your advances, she just stays there as you hug
"I do but it's nothing compared to what you went through" you say as you part, Nimi pull her ship along side the queens as you board
