"Jin! Jamie!"

The princess ran back into the cottage hurriedly, interrupting a conversation between the two men. "Minji? Is everything okay? Have the guards found us?" Jin emerged rather quick from his seat at the dining table.

"No, nothing of the sort. Rather...my sister found us," Minji held up the envelope. "It came to me in the wind somehow."

"Are you sure this is from Yeji?" Jin asked, slightly worried. "It could be a trap, or a tracking device."

"There is no one else who could have sent this through the wind other than her. Yeji and my father were, undoubtedly, the best wind handlers in the entire universe," Minji sighed as she stared down at the envelope. Then, she slid her finger across the opening, and unfolded the paper.

"It's her writing for sure. I can tell just by seeing it," Minji told with a small shake.

"Read it," Jin encouraged, and Jamie watched close by.

"Dear sister,

Thank the gods you and Jin were able to escape the palace before Ubel got ahold of you. I feared the worst at the moment of mother and father's passing. But we have been spared, therefore, we have been given a second chance. You and father would call this fate. Although you and I are separated physically, I will guide you as much as I can throughout your journey—"

"Journey..." Jin hummed.

"—Ubel declared that you are to leave and never return to our kingdom. Although it hurts me to admit, I myself will not allow you to return while he is in control. I cannot lose you. But Hireath is but one world on our plane of existence, each world after this will be a chance. A chance for you to build an alliance and face Ubel in Xeosha. This will be the opportunity to do what's right and return peace to our home. And avenge our parent's late deaths. The reason this letter has come so late on your end is because I've put together a list of individuals I believe is worthy and capable of aiding you on your journey. If the wind is correct, you've already met Jamie, right? That's one.—"

"I never realized what a luxury recognition could be," Jamie hummed with a small smug grin. "By two princesses nonetheless."

"Jamie, you know my sister?" Minji asked.

"As far as I'm concerned, the two of us had quite the buddy-buddy relationship. Though on her end, it's probably all business," Jamie sighed with the same smug grin. "You should keep reading. You may find something even more interesting than that."

"—Jamie has traveled across the entire plane, if there is anyone who can give clear intel or guidance—it's him no doubt. He will provide you with both the knowledge and material needs you'll have to have throughout your journey. You can trust him with your life. Jin should be able to vouch for me in that regard. Speaking of which, if you can see this letter, please know your family will be under my protection. I assume you'll be joining Minji on her journey—therefore I will take it upon myself to protect them on your behalf. I'm aware of your desire to become a knight, and how hard your training has pushed you—but this is the ultimate test for you—"

Minji turned up from her paper to see Jin now staring distantly. If there was anything she knew about her best friend, it was that family was everything to him.

To think he'd risk even that to join her adventure completely screwed with her mind.

"—the two of you must be prepared for what lies ahead. I cannot say what lies beyond the point of no return—but I can say that it will be a drastic change. The kingdoms and cities, along with their people, will be alien to us. But you must accept it and make your way through the plane as precisely as you can. Make the law of the land work in your favor. Each world has a portal, more of a border so-to-speak to leave to the next. Aivora is a city, not a kingdom. There are no villages or castles, only skyscrapers and apartments. It is the land of the arts, meaning you just adapt to their ways of expressing passion. You should find Konda, the president of this nature and eco-centered world and tell her about our father. I pray she will help us in any way she can."
