Hope Starling was alone when the dead started rising. She had always been alone, with parents that had disowned her and no friends to help her. Inside the department store in Atlanta, she was ready to end it.
Daryl Dixon is a lone wolf. Moody, arrogant, broken, he's labeled as the badass of the apocalypse. He will shoot you dead without a second thought if you cross him, and no one does. What he needs is an angel, a Guardian Angel.
What happens when two people, seemingly polar opposites, meet?
Hope didn't expect another group of survivors to enter her short-lived safe haven, but that's exactly what happened.
Then again, nothing can be expected in this new world.
When she goes back with them, she's given another chance. A chance to survive, and a chance to find love in the new bleak and desolate world of the dead.
