The Troll by the Riverbank

My first in-counter.

    

        I was walking home from a long day of school and work. I had a part time job at a cafe down the street from my school. Of course my school only let me keep this job if i had straight A's. This was abit hard going to school, going to work, studing, and doing homework in one day, but i've managed so far. 

        My name is (y/n l/n). I live alone in an ampartement a few blocks away from my school. At the momment i was crossing a small bridge over a river. The sun was still up but the sky was painted a light pink fading into orange as the sun began to set. I walked down this bridge and when i got to the end i hear something. I look to my side over the bridge down at its riverbank. I saw a man sitting there with his face in his arms. From what i can hear, he was crying. Even though i didnt know him i felt bad for the guy. Sitting alone here crying. I walked down the steps and over to the trail that ran on the small hill above him. I slowly moved down the hill and sat next to him with my legs folded under. Apon getting a closer look i saw he had gray skin and horns. 'How strange' i thought. Ive heard of some sort of alien species coming to earth but i never really met any.  I frowned as he sobbed into his arms. I didnt know what to do or say. I just looked at him. I looked at the river and just sat there trying to gather the courage to help this guy. I sigh to myself and close my eyes.

        I heard the grass rusle and a small wieght in my lap. I open my eyes and look down to see the man asleep with his head in my lap. The poor guy mustve exahsted himself crying so much. I sighed and took this time to examine him. His cheeks had small trails of purple tinted tears running down them. You examine the rest of his face seeing a scar on his forhead on the shape of lighting rods. His horns were similar in the fact they were shaped like lighting rodes. You noticed he had fins and gills. You wonder if hes some sort of fish man. You shrug and decide to let him rest and look out to the river. You watch the waves of the river and the shimmering of the moons reflection seeing the sun had went down. You close your eyes feeling the air growing crisp.

        In about two hours or so of you two like this you feel the man shifting and open your eyes looking down at him. His eyes were open and they meet yours. Your eyes lock and you two stare at each other for what felt like forever. Unfortunetly this scilnce was broken with you giving a small sneeze and holding your arms as  a cold rush of air flys past you.

-Be the one who was crying-

         I had ran away after getting in a fight with an old friend. He just wasnt the same anymore and it upset me. I wanted my old friend back, but i know that wouldnt happen. I sat at the river bank crying my eyes out. Eventually i fell asleep being inveloped in a small soft warmth. It was slightly comforting as i drifted off into sleep. In about i dont know how long a wake up shifting slightly and look up. I saw..a human girl. She was beautiful her pale skin glowing in the moonlight. Wait moonlight? Shouldnt this human be asleep? I stared at her till she looked down at me staring back into my eyes with her (e/c) orbs. We stared at eachother intill the scilence was broken with her giving a small adorable sneeze and shivering. I sat up and took off my jacket placing it over her shoulders.

-Your pov-

        I feel something being placed on my shoulders. It was nice and warm. I look up at him as he gave a grin. You smile back at him.

"Thank you..."

"Its Cronus, Cronus Ampora. Vwhat about you doll?" Oh god his voice was amazing.

"Thank you Cronus. Im (Y/n)." You smile to him. He scoot close to you wraping an arm over your shoulder. You blush shrinkning alittle. He sees this and chuckles.

"So are you busy tonight kitten?~" He purrs. This makes you blush more. You gather yourself taking a breathe and look over to him placing a finger on his nose. This makes him look down at your finger in question.

"Cronus. I dont think this is the real you. You shouldnt hide what your really feeling"

-Cronus's Pov-

        I look down at her finger in question. 'Vwhy in the vworld is she doing that?' Then i hear her say

 "Cronus. I dont think this is the real you. You shouldnt hide what your really feeling" My heart sank hearing this...knowing it was true. I always hid my feelings by flirting with others and smiling like it was nothing when they reject you. I stared at her my eyes stinging from tears threating to fall. 

-Your Pov-

        I could see the pain in his eyes and i leaned over placing his head in the crook of my neck. "Its ok, let it out" Right as you say that  he puts his hand on your back crying into your should. You sigh and pat his back rythimaticly. "shhh, its ok" Wow you had just met this guy, but you felt like you had a connection to him, how he was feeling. After abit he stops crying and pulls away wiping his eyes.

"..thank you doll.." he looks at you with those beautiful violet eyes. 

"Your welcome" you smile sweetly to him.

"..Doll?"

"Yeah?"

"..Is it alright if i crash at your place for a bit?..I dont want to go back just yet"

"Of course you can" you smile and he lights up smiling back. You stand up brushing off your legs intill they give out under you sending you to the ground. You had been sitting there for so long you legs went numb. You close your eyes ready for impact but you dont feel yourself falling. You open your eyes to see cronus standing there holding you like a small child. Your face heats up and you look down to hide your face. He chuckles.

"Which way doll?" he asks you look up and point to the building your apartment was in. He nods and starts walking you there with you in his arms.
