There was a small section next to the stairs. The boys slowly walked over to it, dragging their feet. Sunoo stood in front of the other, thinking of a game. He broke the silence. "Whoever throws one over there and makes the shot that comes closest to the wall, wins." He turned to face the boy behind him. "How's that?" Sunghoon nods his head, eyes not leaving the wall. Sunoo turns back to look at the wall. A moment of silence followed.

"It's Sunghoon." Sunoo once again turns to face the other. "What is?" Sunghoon's eyes still havent left the bricks. "My name. Park Sunghoon." Sunoo smiles. "Sunghoon." His smile grows wider. "It's pretty." Sunghoon turns to the other for the first time since they arrived at the small alleyway. "And yours?" The younger meets his eyes. "It's Sunoo."

Sunoo. Sunghoon thought it was such a beautiful name for the other. It matched him well. Although it rarely showed, the boy was like a bright light in this hell of a facility. Even surrounded by death and agony, the boy made him feel at ease. God, what Sunghoon would give up to feel this way forever.

"Your family name?" Sunghoon asked. Sunoo gave a closed lip smile and looked away from him. "Don't have one. That's it." Sunghoon stood quietly, slowly turning towards the wall. The time was ticking, the gunshots heard around them made that apparent.

"Who should go first then?" the older slowly asked. He wasn't sure he wanted to know who went first. He didn't want an answer to his question. The less time there was, the more weight he felt. Sunoo spoke up, "It should be your turn. Since your number is lower." Sunoo backed up so Sunghoon could have room to make his toss. The older's toss wasn't bad at all. The marble ended up landing around 6 inches from the wall. He got up from his throwing position and turned back to look at the other. Sunoo gave him a small smile. He took a deep breath before changing places with Sunghoon. He got into position to throw, observing how far the distance from him to the wall could be. At least, that's what Sunghoon thought was happening.

Sunoo eyes were trained on a patch of dirt before him while he thought over his move. He slowly looked up at the wall, and back down again. He looked at the marble in between his fingers. Then, a small thud. The marble rolled a small distance due to the uneven path. Sunoo stood up, no words spoken. Sunghoon's eyes widen at his realization.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Sunghoon slowly walks towards the smaller boy. He grabs ahold of his shoulder and pushes him against the wall. Not enough to hurt Sunoo, Sunghoon was too in shock to fully register what had happened.

Sunoo looked up at Sunghoon. "I lost. You win." Sunghoon grabbed him by the collar, shaking him and hitting him against the wall. "Stop. Why the hell would you try to do that?" Sunghoon stared into Sunoo's eyes. Sunoo gave a sad smile. "Hey, butter fingers, what else can I say?" Sunghoon was shot with a revelation. "What you said.. making sure that I won. Is that what this is?" Sunoo's eyes stay put, he gave a small nod.

Sunghoon's grip on the other boys collar tightened. Another shove into the wall. "You think I'll be thankful that you did this? Take another throw." Sunghoon wanted to get on his hands and knees and beg the boy to just take another fucking shot. "And I still wouldn't be able to win." He let out a small 'annoyed' groan. "Just let me lose this thing in style, okay?"

Sunghoon shook him against the wall, stronger this time. "Sunoo, cut the bullshit! Stop acting stupid and just do a real throw!" Sunoo stayed leaned against the cold wall. His eyes stayed locked with Sunghoon's. "I have nothing." He told the older. Sunghoon was trembling. "What?" Sunoo sighed. "You got a reason to get out of this place." Tears welled in the younger's eyes. Barely above a whisper, he continued, "I don't."

Sunghoon was shaking. Frustration, sadness, so many emotions overwhelmed the dubbed 'emotionless' boy. Sunoo spoke up again. "I thought hard about what I'd do.. if I were the one who got out since you asked me earlier. No matter how hard I thought, though.. I got nothing." The smaller boy let out a sniffle, desperately trying to hold back his tears for the other's sake. "The one who should have a reason to get back out there.. that's what's right." Sunoo gave him a smile.

Tears fell from Sunghoon's eyes. For the first time in years, he was crying. Over a boy he's known for two days. "You can do it. Don't die in here, okay? And go meet your mother. Go get your brother too. And go.. to Jeju Island." Sunoo gave him a real, genuine smile. Tears leaked from both boys eyes.

Staff around the pair determined their game was done. Sunghoon was being led to the exit. Sunghoon was about ten feet away when he heard the calling of his name.

"Park Sunghoon!" It was Sunoo's voice Sunghoon froze in place. He didn't have to look to know that Sunoo stood with a gun placed against his head, held by a masked man. He lifted his head to listen to what the younger had to say. He could hear the younger's sobs as he pieced together his final words.

"I'm honored.. that we were partners."

Sunghoon heard the boy let out a small laugh. Then a bang, followed by the sound of a corpse falling to the ground. Sunghoon wouldn't know this, but Sunoo died with a genuine smile placed on his lips, and the feeling of finally being heard in his heart.

"Player 240, eliminated."
