TW: SFW

We ran inside escaping the pouring rain outside. Thunder and lightning sounded as if it was right next to us. We were walking home, like usual, when it started to sprinkle some water droplets on the ground, which was nothing too much to worry about. We heard thunder and walked faster as the sprinkles turned to rain. Soon enough we were near your house, but thunder became louder, lighting was seen, and the rain was pouring making anything completely drenched at the touch of the water for too long. We stood inside for a second, your mom greeting us as we stood there trying to get our clothes to dry up a bit before going inside. We don't get the floor soaked as well as our clothes. Walking you could hear the water in our shoes every time we took a step. We took our shoes off and our hoodies hanging them up to dry. Surprisingly our shirts were not completely soaked unlike our pants. We head up to your room after a bit downstairs. You seemed quite excited for something, but I didn't know what for. Our clothes were damp at this point, but not soaked in the rain. We settled down on your bed not too far apart from each other, but gave some room. After the long day I was quite tired, but needed to let my family know where I was before I accidentally fell asleep.

"Hey, I'm with Y/n and in their house is it possible if I could stay here till the storm lightens up?"

"Sure we aren't home yet anyways, would you like us to pick you up when we get back?"

"No, it's fine, thank you though."

"Alright but make sure you keep in touch and are back before night"

Ok, now I can stay for a little bit till it passes over. The loud Thundering sound made me jump slightly. I love the rain but when it gets too loud I sometimes jump. Not because of the sound, only because of how loud it is.

"You scared?"

You question why I jumped at just a little bit of thunder.

"Yeah, it isn't the thunder that scares me, just some loud noises that make me jump a little. It is sudden and I don't know how loud and when it will happen."

I replied back calmly explaining the sudden jumpiness during the storm. I come closer to you as you bring out your phone to play a few games. I kept trying to keep my eyes open as much as possible, but my eyes couldn't help but close slowly as if I were about to fall asleep in just a few seconds. I laid down facing you, my eyes staying harder to keep open. You looked down at me, and my eyes were completely shut. I was too tired from the long day to stay awake any longer. You grinned slightly at the fact I was already asleep next to you. You slid down next to me making cold air hit me making me cuddle in closer. You rest your chin on top of my head. I'm holding onto you and gripping your shirt lightly pulling myself in closer. You wrap your arm around my small and thin body frame. You move my hair back knowing that comforts me the most. I listen to your calm and slow heartbeat as you kiss me on the forehead once and put your chin resting back on my head. You slowly fall asleep next to me feeling as if you are protecting me from whatever may try to hurt me. I knew nothing bad would happen to me as long as you were around. We both drift to sleep losing track of time.
