𝟷𝟷:𝟹𝟶𝙿𝙼.Sarisha raced down the staircase as quietly as she could, doing her best to keep her footsteps as light as possible. Helen was asleep in her bedroom, and Sarisha intended to leave the apartment without waking her up. Though nervous about getting out without being noticed, Sarisha was bubbling with excitement at the thought of seeing Michael again - the last time she'd seen him being the night he had given her his number. It had been a week since they'd started talking to each other on the phone under sworn secrecy, but for Michael the reason had simply been so that word didn't get out to the public just yet.
For Sarisha, it was a little different, but she preferred not to say anything - not yet at least.
Their endless conversations would last throughout the nights, neither of them getting much rest before their individual days started. They would only be forced to disconnect when they both had to leave for work - Sarisha's occupation being that of a manager at a small record store in the city area.
There was no need to guess what Michael's job was, of course - he was Michael Jackson.
But he only felt like something when he spoke with Sarisha on the phone, and a rather quick bond of trust had developed between them. It was as if they could tell each other anything.
Her heart fluttered as her thoughts of him grew more vivid. Just a few hours prior, she had been on the phone with Michael, just as had been the case every night since they'd first found themselves introduced. He had expressed his desire to see her in person again, and even though it was clear that he was pursuing her - she definitely wanted to see him too. She felt as though she was being swept off of her feet, and this was the first time she had ever really felt this way.
It had only been a week, and yet everything already felt like such a fairytale.
Finally, she had managed to sneak out of the house completely, silently shutting the door successfully. As soon as she had made it outside, she grinned to herself, eager to make her way to the empty park that Michael had asked to meet her at.
Initially, he had insisted that he pick her up so that her safety was ensured - but of course she was not going to let that happen when Helen was at home. She was certain it would have instigated an ugly scene.
So naturally, Sarisha had eventually gotten her way and convinced Michael that she would just meet him at the park, and soon enough she was going to be there to see him once more.
And she couldn't wait.
Neither of them could.

Not too long after leaving her apartment, Sarisha had raced down to the park that wasn't very far from where she lived. There was so much anticipation inside of her that she had run all the way there, feeling nothing but free as she moved along the empty path.
She took stride after stride until she brought herself to a stop when she spotted the park across the street. For a moment, she thought that it was entirely deserted, and that perhaps Michael had not shown up.
Then, her face lit up at the sight of Michael revealing himself from behind one of the large trees, clearly having hidden from her in a playful fashion. A giggle escaped her lips as she ran across the street to meet him. Instinctively, she threw her arms around him in an embrace, and he responded immediately, his arms wrapping around her waist. He lifted her, spinning around briefly with a laugh before setting her back onto her feet.
It hadn't felt as if they'd only been talking on the phone for a week - it felt as though they'd known each other for several lifetimes.
"I'm so glad I get to see you again," he whispered, taking a moment to gaze down and admire her features. "Would it make you feel uncomfortable if I told you that you've been the only thing on my mind since last week?"
She giggled again, making him smile.
"No, because you've also been the only thing on my mind since last week," she shook her head. "Can you see how sleep deprived I am?" she scrunched her face up, earning a chuckle from him.
"No, because you're insanely radiant...even clouded by a dark night, you just....shine," he brushed some of her hair behind her ear. "And I could be making a mistake by growing so close to you so fast....but I can't help it,"
"And I could be making a mistake by trusting you so quickly...but I can't help it," she replied, rendering them in giggles once more.
He reached down to take her hand slowly, taking time to interlace his fingers with hers, making her heart race. They could feel adrenaline coursing through their veins as their hands touched, each sensation registering in their minds.
Sarisha could feel each finger of his clasp her hand, even down to the soft but yet calloused palm of his large hand.
And Michael could feel her delicate fingers, noting the sensation he felt as he encased her tender palm. In his hand, hers could very well be lost, but within it - she was safe.
"I.....want to see you again..." he trailed off. "I need to see you again....I don't want this to be our last meeting, or our last conversation," he let out a shallow breath. "Do you....understand what I'm saying?"
"I think I do," she flashed him a playful smirk. "And I'm....not complaining,"
He let out another breath, but this time because he couldn't help but marvel at the wonderful girl he'd managed not to slip away completely. When he had first set eyes on her at the concert, he knew there had been something different about her.
He just....couldn't let her get away - and he wasn't going to let her get away.
Not that she planned to get away from him.
It was already going to become something unforgettable.
