𝟺:𝟷𝟿𝙿𝙼.Sarisha carefully approached the huge entrance to the filming studio that she had planned to meet Michael at. Since he had had quite a bit of filming to do that day, Sarisha had volunteered to meet him at the studio, which was quite the change from Michael picking her up as he did every evening - just so that he could take her home safely. She'd had the delight of calling him her boyfriend for nearly four months, and she was enjoying every single minute of it. Of course, things were still kept very private, and hardly anyone knew of their relationship - but if things were to eventually get more serious, they were both prepared to handle whatever publicity might have followed. For now, however, the relationship was still very much undisclosed.
Only very few people knew about it, and one of them was Michael's manager - Frank.
Over the past few months Sarisha was growing closer to Michael and the few trusted people in his life, subsequently growing farther from her best friend. She was out of the house a lot more now, and she was lying through her teeth everytime Helen asked her about it. It was slowly becoming clear to Sarisha just how toxic her friendship was - but she hoped to eventually end things amicably.
For the meantime, Sarisha just wanted to focus on the man that was slowly turning into her world.
"Sarisha!" Frank's voice snapped her out of her thoughts, making her realize that she had lost herself in a bit of a trance as she got to the gates.
She hadn't even noticed that Frank had made his way out to greet her.
"Frank," she let out a breath, an awkward smile forming on her lips.
"Daydreaming again?" he teased as he walked up to her so that he could escort her in. "Ah I only wish I had the time to do that. Working really isn't my favourite way to bide time," he pulled a funny face, making the young woman giggle. "Especially working with a perfectionist like Mike - but don't tell him I said that,"
By that point, Frank and Sarisha had already walked a fair distance past the gates.
"I can't make any promises," Sarisha teased right back, making Frank place his hand on his chest dramatically.
"Oh! You've wounded me!" he exclaimed in a theatrical manner, causing Sarisha to collapse into a further fit of giggles.
"Good, is it a fatal wound?" Michael's voice suddenly interrupted, earning a gasp from his beloved.
"Oh my goodness," Sarisha brought her hands up to cover her mouth in a bid to try and hide just how funny she had found Michael's sudden remark.
Michael had just walked out of the building that Frank and Sarisha had previously been about to enter, meeting them at the perfect moment.
"Yeah okay, whatever," Frank glared at Michael before moving away to give the two lovers some space. "Look after her," he nodded to the young lady before bidding them a goodbye.
Sarisha waved at Frank with another laugh before she turned to face Michael, who was already focused on her.
"Hi," she flashed him a cute grin, giggling as he moved closer to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. "How was your day?" she asked quietly, wrapping her arms around his neck.
He took in a deep, thoughtful breath as he smiled down tenderly at her. "The usual," he answered. "Long hours, an annoying Frank, and missing you," he gave her a soft kiss, to which she responded instantly.
They both smiled into the kiss, enjoying the bliss and quietness of the moment.
"Believe me, I missed you more," she breathed after they pulled apart. "I couldn't wait to see you,"
"Hm, I beg to differ," he kissed her cheek, reaching to take one of her hands in his. "I'm pretty sure I missed you the most," he raised his eyebrows as she waved him off. "So what would you like to do this afternoon?" they began to walk toward the gates once more, so that they could leave. "I'm done for the day, so I'm all yours," he smirked.
"Well, I-" Sarisha stopped before she could even complete her sentence, her eyes landing on a familiar face outside of the gates. Her face paled and her eyes widened. "Helen?" she whispered in disbelief, making Michael turn his attention to the best friend he hadn't noticed until Sarisha had mentioned her name.
Helen was standing right next to her car, leaning back against the vehicle. Her eyes were pointed straight at Sarisha.
"What are you doing here?" Sarisha questioned with a bewildered gaze as she got closer.
"I was just in the area," Helen folded her arms, glancing at Michael before looking back at her primary focus. "And then I saw you. Is this why you've been out all the time?" she raised an eyebrow. "Because you've been sneaking around with him?"
Filled with a newfound sense of independence, Sarisha replied without hesitation. "We're actually....together now," she felt Michael squeeze her hand, and she just knew he was smiling.
And Helen's reaction was unlike anything Sarisha could have possibly expected from her.
"That's amazing, why didn't you tell me sooner?" she broke into a wide grin, sounding out a laugh.
Sarisha was rendered speechless for a good minute, not knowing whether it was a joke or not. The last thing she expected was for Helen to be delighted for her - not that she wanted it to be any other way.
"Really?" the surprised young woman blinked a few times.
"Of course!" Helen walked up to her, extending her arms for an embrace.
In one swift motion, Helen had given Sarisha a warm embrace before also sharing one with Michael, heartily congratulating them.
"I'm so glad you guys got together," she continued smiling at the both of them. "You make such a cute couple!"
Though Sarisha was surprised at Helen's reaction, she wasn't complaining. She had always feared how upset Helen would have been upon finding out, but now that nothing had been blown out of proportion - she was rather happy.
Perhaps she'd had nothing to fear all along. Perhaps she had just misunderstood everything.
