____________________________________________________________I can't believe she just ran from me! Was I coming on to strong? There is no way that I was, because I only got to say 'hi' to her.
I hear leaves crunching in the distance. And a voice not far behind.
"Hey, Brendon," someone yells behind me.
I whip around to see my best friend Ryan standing not even five feet away from me.
"What are you doing out here in all your lonesome?" Ryan asks skeptically.
"I wasn't always out here by myself a girl - who's name I think was Bailey - was out here with me."
"Bailey huh," he says, with a smirk.
I shrug in response. I mean, what else am I supposed to say?
"You need to keep you distance from her."
"What, why," I say, taken by surprise.
"Just do as I say."
I huff in response.
Who does he think he is, telling me I can't hang with Bailey. He must like her, or something. He has never told me to not to peruse a girl before, so she must be special. Well, it also might be because she's weird.
"Anyways, I came out here to tell you that your dad called. He wants you home ASAP.
Apparently the Spectres are back, so he wants us to be prepared.""What the hell! I thought we dealt with them last time they came."
"Yeah... So did I." He says over he shoulder while walking away. And then he's gone. He disappears into thin air; like he evaporated.
I pull into my driveway, to what is my temporary home. It is a two story brick house. It's nothing fancy, but at least I have a place to live.
We never stay in one place for too long. We can't risk being exposed. So we move around a lot. It doesn't really bother me that much, but I sometimes wonder what it would be like to be normal, and to be able to live in one place your entire life. And know everyone in your town and have them know you. But I know that is impossible, because I am not normal. Therefore, I can't live a normal life.
Before I can even reach for the door knob Im grabbed and pulled inside. To be only greeted to my mothers round face. She is a short and skinny women. While I have blond hair and blue eyes. She has dark brown hair and chocolate colored eyes. We look nothing alike.
"What the hell, mom!"
"Watch you language, Brendon," she says, while giving me a disproving look.
"Your father wants to see you in his office."

I wake up from my phone ringing. I reluctantly lean over on my bed to reach my phone that's on my night stand.
I unlock it to find over 20 texts from Cara. Oh shit, I forgot I was supposed to meet her for lunch. It's only 12:00. I'm not supposed to be there until 12:30. Thank god, I still have a little time to get ready.
I jump out of bed, run into the bathroom and start getting ready. I can't believe I over slept. Now I don't have enough time to take a shower. I brush my hair and my teeth. Then I put on a little mascara. After about 10 minutes of that; I finally decide that I look somewhat presentable.
