Kamayani village, northern region Rakshatra
Saya dusted the mud settled on her light green lehenga getting up from the floor to fetch another utensil to cook the rice. Her eyes narrowed looking at her daughter who walked past few women standing in the middle of the village post laughing about something. She smiled considering her daughter's beautiful face before resuming back to her daily chores.
Kaya clutched her little embroidered potli which she designed herself a few days ago, the blue satin cloth which was brought in as a gift from the queen's quest, a token of love in the return to the gift kaya sent for her. She stitched the little bag by herself a few nights ago after falling love in with the rich satin cloth. Her mother helped her embellishing the cloth with duplicate pearls and beads which were discarded from the clothes of the client's.
She closed the bag with the drawstring which was used to opening and closing the bag, flashing a smile to all the people passing around her who gracefully returned the smile.
"Kaya, did you stitch my brown blouse which I gave you on two days before the full moon? " A lady yelled from behind making kaya swiftly turn around. Kaya smiled looking at the girl who was running behind her with a huge smile on her face.
"Anamika!" Anamika held kaya's both shoulders to catch her breath being tired from running. Kaya gasped giggling looking at the girl. Anamika huffed fanning her face looking at kaya with annoyance.
"Did you?" she asked.
"Did I what?" Kaya laughed moving forward towards her house followed by Anamika.
