Teo

My name is Teo, Teo Vera Mariotti.

I could tell you about where I live and the murderers sleeping in the rooms beside mine, though I trust you already know their story; the leaders and crime loads of the city.

What you don't know is that those I call my family, the murders I eat and train with, will soon give up their titles to the next generation.

And rather it would be in a month or ten years, I was prepared to defend that title against whomever I must.

It was what we trained for; Angie, Chris, Gemma, and I. We were the next owners of this city. The protectors, if you will.

We didn't have doubt or fear. There was no hesitation behind our voices when we called ourselves the best. We were ready in every conceivable way, or at least we thought.

There wasn't anything that was going to fuck up our plans, no matter what.

Until her.

That damn girl.

I must be completely honest; in all my preparations for the time of my leadership, I never once considered the thing to get put in the way of it would be a short, blue-eyed, stubborn girl with a passion for writing and a love for my best friend.

Nor do I think she ever planned to meet us.

Yet here I am, about to fall off the tallest tower in the city, inevitably to my death, as the love of my life runs towards me with every hope her hand can reach mine in time.

And it's all because of that damn blonde girl.

But at last, I'm getting a head of myself.
