Louis was beyond pissed. Fuming.. livid, even.

And it showed as he sped his way back home; foot practically stomping on the gas peddle, flying by every car.

Clementine holds onto her seat as she cringes. She couldn't argue with him now.. it would just make him even angrier.

"Fucking asshole." He mutters under his breath as he switched gears and sped up, every time he passed a car a loud "woosh" was heard just because of how fast he was going.

Clementine grips onto her seat tighter, "Alright, Louis, enough." Her voice comes out as weak, making her clear her throat. Louis shakes his head with a scoff. "Enough! Now, Louis!" She yells this time.

He quickly turns into an alley, luckily avoiding many crashes as he does so. He slams on the breaks, making both of them jump forward. Louis turns to her, his eyes bloodshot, his chest quickly rising and falling, his jaw strongly clenched in anger, "WHAT?!" He yells so loud it makes her jump.

She narrows her eyes at him, "Stop it, now!" Louis falls into his seat, running a hand down his face, "What's the fucking point?!"

She sighs, leaning back into the fancy leather seats of the car, "I.. I don't know." He turns to look at her a little stunned. Clementine admitting that she was lost was never.. a (thing?).

Louis reverses the car and now starts driving at the moderate speed. Clementine looks around in confusion, realizing they're going the complete opposite way from their house, "What are you doing?"

Louis massages his temple and sighs, "Taking you to your dads house.. I need some time to cool down." Clem scoffs, crossing her arms, "So I'm the problem?" He quickly shakes his head, "No, you're not. It's just... I don't want to accidentally take anything out on you."

Louis sighs, placing his car keys on the kitchen counter as he takes off his coat. He sluggishly walks to the kitchen cabinet and pulls out some liquor, also grabbing a shot glass. He lazily pours the shot, causing some to spill onto the counter, but he doesn't mind. Louis quickly downs the shot, a cringed expression on his face when the liquid burns his throat.

"Vi?" He calls out. When he doesn't get an answer, he pours another shot and takes that too. Suddenly there's a knock on the door. He turns around, his brow arched in confusion.

Who could come to the house this late at night?

He opens the door, seeing a very stressed looking Minnie.

He yawns, "Yeah, Violet's not here." On any other day he would've happily welcomed her, invited her in. But this day? When his mom had just believed some guy- no, douche she just met AND chose him over her own son? Yeah, not today.

He goes to shut the door, but Minnie stops him, "Wait, Louis, please." She sniffles. Louis now sees a tear running down her cheek. "I-I just wanted to talk to you.. you're stupidly funny so I thought I should come to you..."

He sighs, "Alright," he opens the door for her, "come on in."

Minnie walks inside the house with her arms crossed. Louis closes the door, then turning around to follow her. "So... you wanna tell me what's up?"

"It's Sophie.." She cries softly, taking a seat on the couch, Louis sits next to her, "My parents.. they adore her." Minnie says in between sniffles.

"All my life I've tried to get them to love me, adore me, but they don't. I've done everything right: got good grades, didn't stay out past curfew, hung out with some pretty good people, didn't get into drugs, all that... and they still want her. When really SHE is the fucked up one! The liar, the thief, the.. SLUT. Why wouldn't they like me? I mean, they literally hate me. Even when you two were supposed to have an arranged marriage, like- why wouldn't they have chosen me? I mean, not like I would've wanted to have been chosen- but still- why not?! I think the only reason is because I'm gay.. I think that's why they don't like me... why I'm a.. disappointment."

Louis sighs, scratching the back of his neck, "Damn, that.. really sucks."

"Which.. is why I broke up with Violet. To try to be able to experience more of the.. other side, ya know?"

"'Other side' meaning, guys?" Louis asks with a teasing smirk.

"Yeah.." Minnie says shyly, "Maybe if I found a guy that I liked- or my parents knew I was going out with guys.. then maybe they'd actually accept me... and like me."

Louis wraps his arm around her shoulders to give her a side hug, "If they're not accepting you now you should just completely diss them."

"What do you mean?"

"Like.. if my mom didn't like Clem then I would completely stop talking to her."

"Stop talking to Clementine?"

"What?! No! I would stop talking to my mom.. which.. is sorta what's happening."

"You're not talking to Amy anymore?"

"It's.. a long story- BUT- a story for another time!" He smiles as he stands. "Right now.. is drinks!" He offers his hand to her, she gladly takes it and stands. He dramatically puts his hand over his heart and sort of bows, "On me, of course."

Minnie smiles and pushes him back onto the couch, "I will get the drinks." She tosses the remote for the TV and a blanket onto him, "All you have to do is find a good movie."

"Yes, ma'am." He nods, getting comfortable under the blanket.

Minnie brings back two glasses of whiskey and hands Louis his.

•••

Louis tries to focus on the movie, but thinking about everything: Amy, Clem, the stalker, even Devon- he simply couldn't focus.

Suddenly his ears start ringing, probably due to all the stress, or probably due to the fact that he had just been drugged.

Not too long after he passes out on the couch. Beside him was the girl he thought was Minerva, but really...

It was Sophie.
