DANGER ZONE
The roar of the crowd was amazing. People were pushing to get closer, but nobody fell. I turned my head to both sides and saw colours. Every colour ever. Every shade of red, blue, black (a lot of black), purple, pink, green, yellow, brown. The fact that I was one of those many beautiful colours (my hair being a fiery orange to red) gave me such a sense of community. These were my people. This was my home. I heard a screech, and heard the drums clash. I immediately got up on my tip toes to see if they were out. There was Mike, behind the drums, smiling like an idiot. Next was, oh lord help me, Tony. He was wearing a white tank with a black SnapBack, holding into his favourite guitar. The one with green slime on it. His smile was priceless and radiated. It made me wanna smile. I saw Jaime come out, poofy hair and his bass guitar slung loosely around his shoulders and torso. The sound the crowd made when Vic spoke into the mic was incredible. It sounded as if we melded as one, just pure sound. Vic continued to tease us, talking to us casually, but he was still nowhere in sight. "HELLO LOUISVILLE! HOW ARE YOU ALL DOING TONIGHT?!" Then he bolted out onstage. Waving and fixing his guitar strap. The euphoria I was feeling was too much. The band I had loved, the boys I had grown so attached to, the ones who kept me from ending my life, infront of me. It was real. I wanted to touch them. That's when I realized, my hand was reaching out. I was right by Tony, and he winked to me as he high-fived everyone who got to the barrier. He stepped back and began playing "He'll Above". I stood there, looking at my hand. He touched it. He touched my hand. Someone pushed me back into the crowd (RUDE!!) and I was lost in the pit. I danced and screamed the words, fully immersed in the set. I felt a hand on my forearm. Before I could tell the person to fuck off, I smelled something disgusting. Everything suddenly became a blur. Vic's voice mixed together and people around me started to look like moving blocks. Then I slipped into perpetual black.
