(Tony's POV)
Wow, a cyber... uhh... a uhh... cyberwebicist... or whatever she said. That's awesome. She programs computers?! That's fucking wicked. I nodded, half istening to the conversation and half admiring her face and hair. She had these beautiful swirly blueish greenish eyes. Her hair too though! Wow, it was a fiery red mass and she wore it with the perfect sense of messiness. Jaime said something that made everyone laugh, so I did to make it look like I was paying attention. Hurt flashed through her eyes, but in a moment was replaced by a laugh. I could tell it wasn't her real laugh. It sounded forced and too short. I imagined her real laugh to be a beautiful bubbly laugh that was contagious. I dozed off for a second but was woken by her sobbing. I grabbed her and just held her as she cried into my shoulder. I didn't know completely what was wrong, but I knew she needed a hug. I just kinda have that instinct. I rocked her for a bit until she calmed down. I used the force to sense her need for a Monster drink. Okay, so maybe she mumbled it a bit. Still. It was the force.
I got up to get her one and ended up running face forward into this bulky guy. He shoved me out of the way and tranq'd Cara and her body instantly went limp. I gathered my senses and took a moment to stare in disbelief at how he got in here and how he wasn't seen by any of us. He shoved his hand over her mouth and I swear there was something in his hand, but he pulled back and nothing was there. I was just getting to pulling myself up of the floor, so thank god Mike and Jaime were already on him, or else he probably would've dragged her out and taken her away from me. I didn't want that.
I heard a scream from Jaime and saw the guy crushing Jaime's fist. Vic was already calling security so I took to Cara, getting her in my bunk and removing the dart from her neck.
This guy was huge, and he seemed a little uneasy on his feet. I measured my distance and tried to tackle him, aiming for his lower half. He fell forward, but not without taking me with him. He recovered immediately and rolled on top of me, landing his fist square with my jaw. I felt a sickening crack! and immediately brought my hands up to my face. He got off me and went for Cara.
Vic shoved him into a wall. The guy kneed Vic, gave a swift punch to Vic's ribs, and shoved him aside. Vic laid there writing in pain and held his rib cage. That's about when some stage bodyguards showed up for backup. One was a tall, lean, but muscular brunette male who immediately went for this guy's upper body, and a slightly shorter but twice as muscular blonde aimed for getting this guys lower body, in an attempt to deck him.
I went to guard over Cara while they struggled to pin this guy down but was interrupted by a loud 'zzzzzt' then the thud of a body. I turn around to find the guy on the floor. I stayed by Cara while the bodyguards search the guy.
They pulled out his wallet, anything he had on him that might give us a hint to who he was. "His names Jensen Padlecki. Works for... Apple? I hate to intrude but is there a reason a big computer company is after you guys?" The bigger blonde bodyguard said questioningly. Mike steps in (this guy chooses the best times to talk) "Long story, get him out and contact his superior, please? and get some medical kits. Tony's got a bad jaw, Jaime's got a few bruises and a bad hand, and Vic's got some damaged ribs." That's when I noticed Vic's rib cage. It was bleeding a bit, most likely because a bone broke skin, and he was tending to it.
I kept getting angrier and angrier at Jensen. I saw red and almost went after Jensen but I stayed behind because I wanted to be there when Cara woke up. I felt anger rush through my body and meet my mind. He broke Vic's rib. He hurt Vic. Nobody hurts Vic. I took a step forward to help him, but decided to stay and watch Cara. She was stirring slightly, probably gathering her senses. It was actually really cute to watch her wake up.
I kept the ice pack (I don't know where that came from, Jesus that was a blurry throw) to her forehead and had a monster at the ready. She mumbled something unintelligible and brought her hand up to her neck, touching it gingerly. "OWWWWWWWW ow ow ow ow ow ow ow!!" She screeched. I wrapped an arm around her and brought her head to my chest. "Shhh you're okay now. Don't worry." she grabbed my shirt and sobbed into my shoulder. I rocked her some and kept her close. "I'm sorry.. I'm so so sorry I didn't mean for.. I'm sorry!" she rambled on. I silenced her with some Monster and a few pain killers. That kept her sedated for a bit while we got cleaned up.
I watched as people came and went about. The medics started tending Vic's rib. Someone tried to help me with my bruises but I refused until someone helped Cara's puncture mark. We were a sore sight. Jaime had minimal wrapping around his knuckles, Mike had a few stitch-like band aids around his cheek bone, Vic was wrapped up from his lower chest to a little below his belly button. Cara had a patch over her puncture wound and I had been given an X-shaped bandaid on my jaw.
After Cara drifted off to sleep Mike pulled me over to the table to talk. "Tony, she can't stay here. She's trouble. I'm not going to let her jeopardize this band. She's just a fan, but we can't let her be responsible for other fans not being able to see us!" I felt the blood rush to the tips of my ears.
"She IS a fan of ours, but, Mike, that's what makes her so important. She is OUR fan, and that guy... Jensen? He's nothing we can't handle. Dont tell me we can't handle him because we did. Please, Mike? If things get worse than this Jensen guy then I'll do something about it. Mike I've given her a chance and you should to. Good night." I pushed my chair out and stormed off to my bunk. I carefully slid Cara over and got in with her. She squirmed a bit in her sleep. I lightly traced circles on her back until I fell asleep.
(Cara's POV)
Oh god, not Jensen. No, I didn't need anyone from Apple messing this up! I started liking Tony and I think there are some signs of him liking me. Mike seemed really skeptical and distant from me but I guess thats just because I brought I stretched a bit, careful not to hit Tony, and somehow maneuvered around him soundlessly and without waking him up. I quietly searched around for something for breakfast, but decided on a water since I didn't need the extra 200 calories. Besides, nobody likes a girl who seems skinny but has a fat stomach. it's unattractive and you can't pull off a bikini.
I sat in the lounge and ate, thinking over everything and pounding numbers and symbols into my phone and trying to rehack into my old myspace. I had forgotten my password. It dawned on me how much actual harmful danger I had put my heroes in. I didn't want to see them hurt, and they already were. I WAS THE CAUSE OF VIC'S RIB FRACTURE DAMMIT. I don't want any more danger coming to them.
Finally, my genius brain kicked in and I figured out a plausible plan. I didn't like some of the side effects of the plan, but Tony's and the band's safety comes first. 'I love Tony enough to let him go' I reconciled to myself as I fine-tuned my plan. I looked around for a scrap piece of paper and a pen and my bag. I found my bag behind sheepcat, and scrawled a note before opening the bus door.
*A/N do you guys think my chapters are short, or are they decent?*
