After thoroughly proofreading the letter I had just written to my father, I sealed the envelope and stamped it to be sent off the the territory of the Moon pack. I am the daughter of the Alpha of the Sun pack and we were currently at war with the Moon pack. My father was off fighting with his men for our safety and it scared me to death but that is what pack life demands so there wasn't anything I could do.

My phone buzzed and I looked over to see a text from my best friend Heidi, daughter of our Beta.

Plans for tonight? I am thinking bonfire party?? Dress cute Cora !!

She was referring to the annual bonfire held every year for graduating students at a high school that was about an hour away from my house. Although, a ton of students from different schools attended. The high schools in the area were not exclusively made up of werewolves, but it was easy to sniff out the ones who were. The bonfire was known to get a little out of hand, but unless you were in high school you didn't know that.  And for some reason my wolf was restless. She could sense something was going to happen tonight.

I replied and rushed to my closet to find something to wear and quick. I went for some simple skinny jeans rolled up at the bottoms, ankle boots, and a white tee with a bunch of layered necklaces. Once I was ready I tiptoed down the stairs of my house praying that my older brother, Alex, would not hear me. I was about to turn the doorknob when-

"And where do you think you're going?" Alex said from behind me. I turned around and smiled sheepishly.

"Just going to sleepover at Heidi's that's all!" I said with a convincing smile.

"You look nice for a sleepover. Say, isn't the bonfire tonight?" He asked rhetorically with a winning smile plastered on his face. Alex graduated two years ago so he knows about he bonfire. Alex was also extremely protective of people, afterall he would be becoming our Alpha very soon so he inherited that trait.

"Alright you caught me, just please don't tell mom." He contemplated what I said.

"Fine, but I swear if I find out you did anything wild I am going to be extremely angry."

"Thank you Alex!" I ran up hugging him, "I promise I will be good!"

.................

The bonfire was held at a clearing in the woods with a waterfall at the side in which people were swimming. Once I arrived I began looking for Heidi. As I was searching, someone placed a red solo cup in my hand. Wow, that was fast. I smelled the liquid and poured it out not trusting the person that poured it. I finally found Heidi and we were talking with a group of our friends when we decided to dance. I had a couple of drinks that Heidi poured for me knowing I was a lightweight despite being a werewolf and mustered up the courage to start dancing with the crowd.

As soon as I started to lose myself in my dancing my wolf perked up, but I ignored her because I was having too much fun. After three songs I decided to pay attention to why she was so worked up, but I soon knew why. My mate was here. I could sense him. I could smell him. I felt a pull towards him.

My heartbeat picked up as my eyes anxiously darted around the clearing searching for the source. I made my way towards the edge of the huge crowd so I could get a better look. My friends were too caught up with their dancing to notice I was gone. More searching until my eyes were met with a pair of warm brown ones.

My jaw dropped. I knew who this was. This was not good.

(a/n)--- keep reading!! idk who plays who yet, i don't even know the title but I hope you liked it. I was reading a werewolf fanfiction where all of the writing mistakes were annoying me so much! Hopefully this is good writing. -peyton
