I turned to my brother, who was staring into space, being completely inutile. Then I looked back to Bran to see if he had come out of his half-conscious dream.
" Um...shouldn't you pull him back?", I asked, clearly concerned for Bran's safety. Jojen glanced over at Bran, and then back at me again, "Afterall, you are the one who said he shouldn't stay in Summer for too long. It's been almost an hour."
Just as I finished talking, Summer came trotting up to us, and Bran awoke.
"so," Jojen began, "you see anything interesting?". Bran look on passed summer, and in the direction that he had just run from.
"there's a group of wildlings just a few miles east. I couldn't tell where they were coming from or where they were going, but Summer could snif them out if need be.", he explained to us.
Bran, Jojen, and I have been traveling together for a little under a year, along with Bran's giant, Hodor. We started our travels together with Bran's younger brother, Rickon, and another wildling named Osha. However, Bran sent Osha and Rickon to go into hiding, to make sure Rickon stays safe from harm.
Jojen has a gift called greensight; something that Bran also has. With this gift, Jojen was able to find Bran, and now we are here to lead Bran to find the three-eyed crow. The three-eyed crow has haunted Bran's dreams, and it has been leaving him a bread-crumb trail, leading him where to go. Bran's dreams are becoming more intense, and both him and Jojen have a feeling that we are getting close to the end of our journey. More so, the beginning.
"okay, now, get some rest Bran. We should be getting up early tomorrow." I said as Hodor helped Bran lay back to sleep. And, with that, I turned away from our fire, and shut my eyes.
--
I was awoken just before the break of dawn by Summer barking right in my ear; I sat up and hushed him, so i could listen. When i didn't hear anything, a calmed summer, and went on to gather our things and wake up the others.
We started out West, and soon enough, Bran warged into Summer and took off East to see if the wildlings were were close behind.
After about twenty minutes of strange silence, I decided to speak, "Summer was barking like crazy this morning." I said.
Jojen waited a minute before replying, but eventually answered,"Was she?"
I looked at him curiously. He was being awfully quiet, and I decided I couldn't just let it slide, " What is the matter with you? You've been silent and a bit dispondent for the past week."
He didn't even begin to answer me, so I started asing specifics, "Does it have something to do with the dream you had?" and his head instantly shot up with the most angered look I've ever seen, but before her could speak, Bran came back, and Jojen raised his eyebrows to ask Bran what he saw.
"There was nothing. The wildlings must have contiued East.", He assured after settling back into his own mind.
"Good. One less problem getting in our-" Jojen was cut off by someone shooting an arrow straight at his head, but just barely missing, and he fell back in shock. Then, almost as if they were spat out of the ground itself, a huge group of wildlings surrounded us.
I was the only one carrying a weapon, but before i could even get it out, a slender girl with long black hair yanked me back amainly, and roughly rested a knife against my throat.
"Move a muscle, and you'll be lying in a pool of your own blood.", the girl whispered sternly in my ear.
Everyone else was being held back; Jojen looked as if he had just woke up from a coma, and Hodor crying out of fear, so there would be no help from either of the two. Then a large man with blonde hair and a curly beard approached me; he played with my hair, " pretty one," he smirked disgustingly at me before walking towards Bran and Jojen, "So what is a group of kids such as yourselves doing this far north? The outside of the wall can be a dangerous place", he continued walking between me and the rest of his group.
He moved closer to Bran and my brother before speaking again, "Who should we kill first?", he turned to me and smiled at the girl behind me, "What do you think, Landre?"
Landre. That's her name...
She laughed a bit, "Start with the cripple. He's usless without legs."
right as she finished talking, i absentmindedly blurted out, "Thats Brandon Stark!"
The large man stopped in his tracks and scoffed a bit, "Is it now?", he turned his head towards me slowly. I felt the girl, Landre, loosen her grip as the man said, "All the more reason to take his head, if I do say so myself."
I swung my head back with as much force as possible, hitting the girl in the nose, and then knocking the knife out of her hand. The, in one swift circumvolve, I spun around behind her, pulled my knife out of it's sheath, tugged her head back, and slid the knife up to her throat.
"If you touch a single hair on his head, I'll slit the girl's throat."
