this chapter is way longer than i expected, sorry :)

Farkle and Rory were planning on going to the movies after school, just the two of them, not as a date, as friends (since the whole getting engaged to Maya started to piss her off a little) , she had been saving up money from her weekly allowance, Lucas hopped on the idea of going to the movies making Farkle disappointed and Rory a little relieved because they couldn't or well— wouldn't talk about their unspoken situation in front of Lucas.

"So, you don't want anything to change?" Maya asked Riley as they entered the classroom

"No, I don't like change, change fills my pockets with pennies of uncertainty" Riley used that weird analogy making all four people around her furrow their eyebrows, Rory was going to say something but when she noticed Farkle's look on her, decided against questioning it and looking at their teacher.

"All right so... should we finally learn about what happened in Belgium 1831?" Mr. Matthews asked looking at everyone's faces

"No!" Farkle exclaimed, Mr. Matthews repeated Farkle's actions

"I always get my hopes up and then something happens to hurt my little Farkle heart" Rory let out a snort, she remembered telling him to search it on the internet for different facts and learn it by himself, he always said that it wasn't the same, it didn't give him the same satisfaction than reading it from a book "well this time I refuse to believe"

"In 1831..." Cory started

"Yes!" he really didn't want to get his hopes up "wait anything to suddenly happen to you?" he asked Riley

"No changes loving' life" Riley grinned

he turned to Lucas "anything happen to you?"

"Nothing ever happens to me" he shot back

he turned to Maya and called her name to find her snoring, and finally to Rory who was making little paper balls to throw at Maya's face with a score board in hand and asked her the same question

"5 points for the mouth, 10 points for the nose and 15 for the eyes, nope all safe and sound and ready to play" she grinned brightly at him

"Oh my gosh, this is it" he was beaming in excitement

"in 1831... Belgium" Mr. Matthews was just starting the class when the door opened revealing a new guy, Rory eyes widened and casually kicked Lucas seat making him look at her and nodded towards the door

"What y'all started without me?" a guy barged into the classroom

"Get out!" Farkle roared as he stood up on his seat waking Maya up from her slumber

"Two people in this room are going to be very surprised to see me" he looked directly to Lucas and Rory

"Is it me?" Riley questioned

"Don't know, sugar, but could you be any cuter?" Rory wanted somehow for the world to open a hole just where her seat was and suddenly disappear

"Well, I can't answer that" she responded a little flustered

Rory laid her head on the desk and squeezed her eyes shut, and maybe just maybe he would disappear

"You got a transcript kid?" Mr. Matthews asked

"I got a lot more than a transcript" he searched in his pockets while still talking "check out them grades here, let me sing them to you" he stopped searching

"d, d, d, d, d, d—f" he sang them in a neutral tone

"Yeah, I know that song" Maya smiled, He continued searching, how could he take while searching no one knew, Rory watched everything in front of her with a frown on her face
