I SAT DOWN in the third row of the lecture room as the teacher started to get ready for class.

Randall quickly ran in before the teacher started to talk and sat down next to me with a sigh, "what did I miss?" he asked as I rolled my eyes with a smirk.

"The bell only just went smart ass" I replied to him, as I started to type notes on my laptop and Randall doing the same with his.

Randall looked at me with a smile watching me type away my notes into a document, "what are you looking at Wolf Boy?" Randall gave me a look as I kept typing.

"Nice nickname but I wanted to ask you something..." I stopped typing to look beside me. Is he asking me out?.

"Would you want to-" Before Randall could finish a loud ringing sound filled the room, "Really a fire right now?" Randall said pointing his middle fingers at the roof.

The teacher advised them all outside and Alyssa caught saw me walking toward her, "Hey what do you think is going on?" I ask as Randall stood next to me.

"Not sure probably the science lab again they always set fire to things" I shrugged towards her as we both looked around at all the students and Alyssa walked off.

Avery looked up at Randall and he looked at her as well, "Hey what did you want to ask me before?" I said curiously.

"Just asking if you have seen Jack around?" He said as my face fell, "Oh umm no sorry".

Showed up next to us with her books in her hand, "Hey guys what's up?" She asks as we all shrug, "we think science lab fire". Lilith nodded at the girl and Hamish walked up toward us with a serious look on his face.

"Hey Hamish-" I said but was then cut off by the sound of his, "Meet at the house, we need to talk about Jack Morton" we all nodded and one by one headed to the house trying to make it not look suspicious.

We got to the house, and all sat in the lounge room together. I sat next to Randall, Lilith sat on a chair next to us and Hamish next to Lilith.

"So have you heard from Morton yet?" Lilith asks Randall as he wraps his arm around me. I know it may seem like we are dating by how we are always hugging, or he is always holding me, but I swear we have never dated each other.

"You know Randall, some would think you like Avery the way you are always hugging her" Hamish commented with a smirk.

"We are just good friends," Randall said casually making me nod softly, "did you at least check on him?" Lilith interrupted looking at Randall.

"Why would I?" He said finding a ball and started throwing it to Hamish.

"Because he's an untrained, rogue wolf" she said sarcastically towards him like he should have figured that out.

"He's not a rogue wolf per say" I said trying to defend Jack, "if anything he's an emotionally unavailable wolf" Randall finished as Lilith looked at us both angry.

Hamish was throwing back the ball that was found and Lilith quickly got up and caught it before Randall could catch it again.

"We don't know what he's up to or who he's talking to," she said aggressively, "well we can't stalk him Lil if that is what you're trying to say" I said with my hands on my knees.

"No, I don't want to stalk him," Lilith said sitting back down, "like you weren't overwhelmed when you first changed," Randall said towards Lilith.

"Your point is?" She asked sarcastically shrugging, "we will let him process a little longer" Hamish said as the ringing started to occur, and I held my head in my hands.

"God I hate that sound it's like the tenth time today" I complained and Hamish sighed, "let's go" he said as we all followed him out the door.

"Twentieth times a charm" Lilith mocked as I put my arm around her shoulders moving closer into the forest.

WE ALL SAT IN THE BAR WATCHING as Jack and his Order friend toast adrink. Lilith sat next to me as Randall and Hamish were opposite us drinkingbeer. I know right Hamish drinking beer not a cocktail. Shocking.

I grabbed a chip from the plate that Randall had ordered and started eating it, "remind me why we haven't dealt with him yet?" Lilith said aggravated taking a sip of beer.

"Because we have been running around all over town like idiots, trying to track down whoever is doing all this magic" Hamish responded taking a sip of his beer.

"Ten bucks says it's some frogs testing out their first set of tarot cards" Randall said shrugging, "No it has to be the new acolytes the order brought in, every year they always get themselves into trouble for doing magic they aren't supposed to, I mean I did," I said softly taking a big sip of beer.

"It's him" Lilith said as she pointed to Jack, "yesterday he's thrift store chic and today's he's Mr. Fancy Pants" I nodded in agreement looking over at his new clothes.

"Maybe he's got to do laundry" Randall said trying to protect his friend, "no she's right, those pants are fairly fancy" Hamish agreed.

They all looked at me waiting for my response as I shrugged, "you would know come on Aves you're in the order" Lilith said and I gave her a look.

"Yeah, and I wish I could leave but..." I looked over to Randall who nodded his head at me and I looked back over at him.

"He's an acolyte... he asked me and Randall to stay quiet so he can have some time to adjust to everything you know" Lilith looked at Randall and I furious and I pointed over to him.

"To be fair he agreed to it not me" her look went to just Randall and gave me a look as I mouthed the words I am sorry towards Randall.

"So he's in the Hermetic Order old the Blue Rose that doesn't make him a bad guy" he said as Hamish had a mad look in his eye.

"They are our sworn enemies" he said as Randall placed his arms on the table, "which is why having an inside man is going to be fantastic" Hamish looked over at me as I sighed.

"We already have one, Avery. Why do we need another?" Lilith asked the boy curiously, "we will have two spy's even better besides we don't know if he's even doing magic or not" Randall said defending Jack while I watched him carefully as he sat with Gabrielle and Brandon.

"We'll get confirmation," I said turning back around and interrupting the group, "so we are magic cops now?" Lilith said sarcastically to Hamish.

"We have always been magic cops" he says as Avery nodded in agreement, "fair" she said taking another sip of her drink.
