THE THREE WALKED INTO THE HOUSE as Jack seemed unsure and a bit scared, "Are you guys sure you can get Hamish and Lilith on board?" Jack asked as Randall assured him that we would be able to.

"You know they won't" I whisper over to Randall who shushes me and then assures that we will be able to. "Hamish! Lilith!" Randall called out as the two appear into the hallway.

"Great job guys" Hamish said followed by Lilith stating that she thought we would help him run. "You double-crossing bastard" Jack looked at Randall as I stayed silent. "Everyone calm down. no one is dying".

"We agreed if you guys lost, he dies" Lilith stated as I slightly nodded, "yes but Jack landed his first kill".

"Big bad magic" Randall added to the lie, knowing that I don't like to lie unless necessary.

"Jack tell them. How you heard the ringing and transformed into Silverback and took down your professor who was weaponised by magic". Randall stated giving Jack a look to go along with it. "Yeah, that happened," he said without hesitation.

"And that is impressive for someone who hasn't been trained. Technically I haven't been trained very well either" I added on to help sound more convincing for Hamish and Lilith.

"Doesn't change the fact that he has been doing bad magic. No offence Avery, I know you don't unless necessary" I nod towards her as I am kind of used to everyone saying it to me.

"And it was a mistake" Jack spoke as Lilith glared at him intensely, "You're a mistake" she responded. As the tension started to rise in the room Hamish called out by telling everyone that we should all talk privately about the matter.

"What are we going to do with dick leak here? We can't just let him go." Lilith responded as I looked over top Randall unsure about what is to come and him giving me a soft smile.

"She is right," Hamish said as he and Lilith grabbed Jack and dragged him down to the basement. Randall and I followed trying to reason with them in letting him go but of course, that didn't work.

As Hamish and Lilith left the basement Randall and I stayed back to talk to Jack, "Lying to them was your plan?" he asked us as I shrugged towards him. "It's not lying. It's an optimistic expectation" Randall answered as we both checked to make sure they weren't there to hear that.

"I never said that Clarke was weaponised by bad magic" Jack fought back as I looked over to Randall waiting to see his goofy response. And like always there was one, "You never said he wasn't".

I stared at the two and started to walk upstairs so Hamish and Lilith wouldn't start to get suspicious, leaving the two boys on their own.

AS WE SAT IN THE LOUNGE ROOM, we looked around at each other quietly before Lilith started talking. "So, I say we kill him".

"You always say that" Randall responded next to Hamish basically laying down. "And I am always right" she responded without hesitation. "Maybe he just needs a little bit of training. Remember I am also part of the order" I spoke.

"Yeah but we can trust you and besides, might be a waste of a good champion" Hamish answered sipping his cocktail. "He is no champion" Lilith fought, "He is a member of the order and is our enemy" she had said before realising and looked over to me.

"Not all of us are bad. Sometimes we just don't know what is going on until to late" I said as I got up off the couch next to her. "All I am saying is to give him a chance at least".

I walked out of the room and outside into the fresh air. As I stand out there I start to think about everything. About how Kyle was constantly lying and how I don't even know if the knights like me, let alone trust me. Or are they just saying all that because they need a person on the inside?

As I sit thinking I feel a pair of hands touching my arms on both sides of me and I turn around to see Randall standing there with a smile.

His smile always made me feel better. I don't know how or why but it just did. He grabbed a note out of his pocket and handed it to me telling me to read it.

I opened the letter up and it wrote;

Dear Aves,

It has been a while since I wrote one of these, but it needs to be done.

I know sometimes it might seem like you are out of place or don't fit in right now but, you aren't. we all care about you and Lilith didn't mean to hurt you. She just isn't a fan of Jack (If you couldn't tell).

From your one true love :)

I gave out a laugh as I read it through, "Your one true love huh?" Randall shrugged and gave me a big hug. "When did you have time to write this?" I asked him softly as we stopped hugging. "Just then. I am a fast writer. Maybe I should have done that instead of pre-med".

I laughed at him before holding up the letter, "Okay but don't sign your writings with 'your one true love' next time". He gave out a laugh but after the look, he gave me almost looked like he meant what he wrote.

Honestly, that wouldn't be the worst thing for me.
