Giggles and chattering enveloped the venue. Compliments are rolling here and there, and the clicking of cameras are too everywhere.

The students' high school life are roading to its end, and they couldn't missed having this event for once.

Along a round table sat the group of captains of different sports. Yoo Jeongyeon, captain of basketball team. Also present are the captains of volleyball, Lalisa Manoban. Swimming, Kang Seulgi. Yeji of the baseball team. And of course, the very own team captain of soccer,, Kim Dahyun.

"Where is she, Kim?" asked the team captain of basketball who was beside her Cheerleader, Im Nayeon.

A cat-eyed girl was fast to but in, "I bet she doesn't have anything to wear, she probably won't show up."

"Babe, not cool."

"Perhaps that loser realized she's way out your league? Just go and get Chaeyoung instead, Dahyun. She declined everyone for you."

The team captain of volleyball had to excuse themselves as she wasn't pleased by the attitude her girlfriend was showing. The Korean however didn't mind, her thoughts are full of a certain Japanese she had asked to be her date few days ago.

What's the problem? Where are you?

Minutes have passed but the person the Korean was expecting is still nowhere to be found, the dance is about to start at any time now. She heave a deep sigh, she was becoming hopeless.

"Hi, Dahyun."

Thinking it was her, the Korean snap fastly, but who is she kidding? she should've known just by the voice.

"Hey, Rose."

"You seemed lonely, mind if I sit with you for a while?"

"Not at all." she forced a small smile in return to the girl maneuvering her way to the seat beside her.

There was a short silence before the chipmunk asked, "Where's your partner?"

In Dahyun's mind, she thought maybe the latter had ditched her, but she doesn't want anyone else either, so she replied shortly, "Probably on her way."

"The dance is about to start, you'll still wait?" the other asked in hopes that the captain would just ask her for the floor instead.

"I'll wait.., she's worth the wait." she whispered the last part.

Soon, the MCs began their opening remarks. The crowd became more lively than it already was, she keeps glancing around, her friends were all forcing her to stand up and escort Rose to the dance floor.

"It's not the formal dance yet, we'll be with you." Jeongyeon whispered to her, assuring her that she can still go on with her plan. It calmed her somehow and soon found herself having fun.

There was a short break for them before the upbeat music was replaced with a slow one, dispersing a romantic vibe around the entirety of the area.

The poor neck of the Korean was fully outstretched, and yet there was still no sight of a certain Japanese.

Please, show up.

"Is she still coming?"

"I don't know, unnie." the younger answered defeatedly. She was about to walk back to their table when loud gasps echoed the hall.

She turn to the entrance and there she finally saw the person she was dying to see. In her pink dress and not her usual hoodies, with her blonde-orange hair that's falling perfectly, she was perfect!
