Chapter 44

JungKook

I stared out of the window and I looked at all the people down there, just minding their own business and they have nothing to do with me but somehow I want to be a part of it so that I can forget about my life for a moment. My life had been different ever since the wedding and people have been talking about it nonstop, mainly it is because of Kim SeokJin and they were so shocked that he was the bad guy in the relationship of him and Lee JiEun and he isn't the trustworthy manager they know of him, I have been waiting for this moment to happen to him for the longest time and I am glad that he has finally met his end.

He did nothing wrong to offend me though but he did his fiancee so dirty that I had to do something about it to expose him of his true colors and allow everyone to see him in his true form and never make them look at him the same way again. Same goes for Park JiMin who is always avoiding all the huge crowds at work and he always sits alone in one corner unless he needs to work with someone.

Kim Taehyung told me that Park JiMin stopped speaking to him and doesn't even go out to drink with him, although I am glad that he got what he deserved at the same time, I feel bad that people are looking at him in that way but he truly deserved it, how long would he even keep up with the affair if no one found out about it?

I let out a sigh of relief and I heard a knock on the door, it was my employee Jung HoSeok and he is looking at me with his signature smile on his face. "Boss, do you want to go out for lunch? I am treating today."

I headed out of the office to get lunch and I am just following Jung HoSeok because he said that he is treating me and he even told me to choose a place to eat but I let him make all the decisions. "Boss, here is the menu." He hands the menu to me. "You would have to get the garlic lobster pasta, it is their signature dish and we will get a cheesecake for dessert if we still have a bit of time."

"HoSeok, thank you for treating me to this meal but I know what you are trying to get from me. You want me to spill you all the information about Kim SeokJin and how I even got the chance to go against him at the wedding." I said to him and he nodded his head.

He has been bugging me ever since the wedding and he had been wanting to know everything about the entire dramas, if she hadn't found out that Kim SeokJin was cheating on her and told me about it, she wouldn't have begged me to expose Kim SeokJin in the worst way possible.

"What are you going to do with all the information? Are you going to do something with?" I asked him. "If you are going to tell the CEO about it and have him fired by the company, I am not going to let you do that."

"I am doing nothing, I won't spread any news to all the other employees in the company and I am going to keep my mouth shut." He said to me and he pleaded to me. "Please, boss! You must have been hated Kim SeokJin so bad that you want him to pay for his actions and accept the fact that he is a cheater and he had a fiancee called him out on the day of the wedding that they were supposed to get married but they didn't because she called off the wedding and left for a flight to Taiwan the following day."

I told her to go on her honeymoon trip on her own and she will be there on her own without anyone else, it would be healing to her and it will not be a waste of money that she spent to get the honeymoon trip. It is just a short 3 days and 2 nights trip to Taiwan and she will be back in no time, she wanted me to come along with her on this trip and I rejected her offer and I even told her that we can't end up together.

Indeed, we can't end up together, Lee JiEun is the person that I will never get to love because she doesn't deserve to get love from me and I know that she is jumping to conclusions that I would have to do something with her and I helped her call off the wedding and exposed Kim SeokJin as a cheater. She needs time to think of it and come up with something that would be better for the two of us and it is that we will just remain friends and nothing more will happen.

"Go ask Kim SeokJin yourself, he is the one who was the downfall of their relationship and what led to the end of their relationship and Kim SeokJin goes back to being a bachelor but no one wants him anymore after seeing his true colours," I told Jung HoSeok.

We finished our lunch and I made my way back to the office where I hear a lot of murmurs all around me and people are talking to me again, I chose to ignore them and went straight to the lift lobby where I hear someone calling my name and I turned around, only to get punched by Kim SeokJin and I fell and dislodged my shoulders.

"Why are you even doing this to me? What did you and Lee JiEun even plan to bring me down?" He said to me. "I hate you to the core, why are you always trying to go up against me?"

I was his employee in his department and I worked like a horse to keep up with his expectations, I bought coffee for him daily and he never paid me back and I think that he had thought that I would not go after him. It took me such a long time to get out of his department and become the team manager and I no longer have to live my life like this anymore.

"Jeon JungKook, Kim SeokJin, be at the office in 10 minutes." The CEO says to both of us and Kim SeokJin let go of me and he stood up, walking inside the lift to the CEO's building.
