Chapter 58

Jungkook

I have thought long and hard about it and I know that it would further ruin my relationship with Park Jimin but I have to do it, it feels like I am leaving an unfinished business left to rot in the dungeons and I have to put a stop to it.

I thought about it for a few days, thinking that there might be another solution that would be better but it doesn't seem like Taehyung hyung is going to talk to Park Jimin any sooner.

He had been avoiding him like a plague and he would do anything to not be next to him, they are working in the same department and they used to be called the inseparable duo and everyone even thought that they had something between each other and they always seemed so close but now they looked more like 2 strangers who just happened to be working in the same department and they don't make any effort to talk to each other.

Taehyung hyung doesn't talk to me as well and I know that because I didn't tell him that I knew about the affair for a while and he was the only one who was kept in the dark and he found out at the same time as everyone else at the wedding, it is no wonder that he would feel betrayed by that.

I spotted Park Jimin in the lift lobby, about to get into the lift I called his name, he stopped and I ran to catch up to him. As I am running to him, the anger in my heart is starting to go down and I want to forgive this guy.

He is my friend after all and we have been friends with each other he has been a great help to me ever since I joined the company and he was one of the people who gave me the confidence to go up against Kim Seokjin, he is a very important person in my life and I should not use this one incident and label him as a bad person.

"Jimin hyung!" I called him and I stopped to catch my breath.

"What do you want? I don't have a lot of time and I will get going if you have nothing to say to me." He let out an annoyed sigh, looking down at his watch and looking back at the lift that he didn't manage to get on.

"Jimin hyung, do you want to get lunch with me later? Taehyung hyung would be joining us as well." I said to him, trying to sound as enthusiastic as possible.

"What for? Are we even friends? It is a thing of the past, especially after what you had done to me. You should have kept your mouth shut that day and nothing would have happened, he is supposed to get married to his fiancee for everything to be successful and you had to ruin it." His tone wasn't that nice and I had to get rid of my enthusiasm.

"You ruined a relationship, Park Jimin. He is supposed to get married and you had to be the 3rd person in their relationship and you thought that it would be a great idea for him to get married to a woman so that you can continue fucking him when his wife is not around." I pointed a finger at him. "That is not going to happen and I had to make things right by making sure that the wedding doesn't go on."

"You are not the good guy as well, you liked Lee Jieun and you just took the chance to ruin their wedding and make her yours." The flame in my heart starts once again and I swung a punch toward Park Jimin, no one is to insult Lee Jieun and I will not allow it to happen.

And that one punch became 2 punches and it quickly escalated into a full-on fight and I couldn't stop hitting him, he deserves it for not feeling remorseful for his actions and thinking that he is right.

"Stop it!" I heard Taehyung hyung and he pulled me away from the fight, Kim Seokjin is there as well and he pulled Park Jimin to his side. "What are you even doing?" He yelled at me.

"Let me go, hyung. He needs to be beaten up to know that he is wrong and he is wrong for everything that he had done." He dragged me even further away from Park Jimin and that stopped our fight, he brought me to the convenience store where he purchased some plasters and two cans of instant coffee.

I sat down at the tables outside and I sat there, thinking that I will be scolded by him, he is a very cool individual most of the time and he doesn't try to say anything unless it is unnecessary but he can be really scary when that happens.

He came back to the table and tells me to disinfect my wounds with the disinfecting liquid and he hands me the mirror, I had a few scratches and a bloody lip but it would heal in no time. I placed the plaster on my cheek and my forehead, I wiped the excess blood on my lips and I looked much better.

"What did you even try to do that for? You are not the type of person to be punching anyone for no reason." He said to me, clearly not impressed with my actions.

"I had a reason and it is not the first time that I am punching someone at work, I punched Kim Seokjin as well and I was called to the CEO's office," I told him. "He said that he doesn't regret his decision for having that affair and I had to set things straight but it seems like he is not going to be straight for the rest of his life."

"Thank you, Jungkook. I would have punched him sooner or later but you did it first, and the weight got off my chest and I feel much better and it is all thanks to you." He finally smiled after so many days. "But don't go punching people anymore, you are a manager for goodness sake and you have a beautiful girlfriend to look good for."
