When I got home, I couldn't sleep. So, I put on some shorts, laced up my shoes, and grabbed my basketball. It was a refreshing night. I walked to an outdoor court not far from my house. This was my court, my home. I loved this place even more than the theater. I'm not sure how long I played for. Once I get into my zone, my whole world becomes the beautiful game I fell in love with as a little girl. To this day, I still play for that little girl.

I woke up to a rainy morning. I got dressed, grabbed some breakfast, and ran out the door to Kaitlyn's house. We were walking, making sure to jump in every puddle that we estimated had a diameter of 4.5 inches or higher, when my mischevious side had a little spark. I grabbed Kaitlyn's umbrella and ran as fast as my legs could carry me.
"What the--" She began to yell.
"Run, b*tch, run!!!" I yelled back.
When I finally stopped, and Kaitlyn caught up to me, I laughed so hard that by the time we reached the theater, my sides hurt. Kaitlyn ended up pushing me into a rather deep puddle, leaving me just as soaked as she was. She joined in on my laughter and we dried off before meeting up with everyone on the stage.
Sam was saying to Ben, "In fact, we're five minutes early. So shut up."
Ben ignored the remark and got down to business. "Alright, here's what we need to do..."
I was submerged into my own little world of thoughts as he spoke.
Why do I like Andy so much? He's done nothing spectacular and yet I've still fallen for him. I wish he'd like me back but we're just friends...
"Mara and Kaitlyn will work on light design..." Ben continued.
"Cal and Luce, I need you to find music to play with the show. For transitions and because the script has parts with music."
"Why do they get to do music?" Willa, who was standing next to Isaac, asked. "I mean, why can't I work on music? Or Isaac?"
"They are our music people. You've seen how they get about music. Just let them do their job. Geezus," Sam said, obviously annoyed.
I took one look at Willa's defeated face and couldn't help but laugh with Kaitlyn.
"Alright, everyone has there job assignments. Get to work."
Kaitlyn and I went to sit in the balcony so we could get a clear view of the stage and how the lights would look. But, knowing us, we started to digress from our light topic.
"I'm proud of myself," Kaitlyn stated.
"Why is that?" I asked.
"I've been doing this jigsaw puzzle for six months and I finally finished." She said with a huge grin spreadin across her face.
"That's great, but what about that makes you so proud exactly?"
"The box said 2-4 years."
Take a moment to imagine Mara dying of laughter.
"Kaitlyn! 2-4 years is the ages of kids that do that puzzle, not how long it should take you! You are truly a blonde!!" I say inbetween laughing fits. Kaitlyn joins in on my laughter until both our cheeks hurt. When we finish up with the light designs, we begin to walk down to meet up with the rest of the group.
Jack passes us and says, "Why can't you two ever get anything done without getting distracted?!"
"Why can't you ever go a day without getting so pissed off that your hair catches fire?" Kaitlyn retorts.
We continue down to find everyone backstage.
"Hey guys, what's wrong with Jack?" I ask. Then I see Ben. "And why is Ben covered in paint?"
"Ben was being a b*tch so Luce and I dumped paint on him."
"And Jack?"
Sam shrugged, "We're still trying to figure that one out."
"WHERE THE HELL IS EVERYONE? BEN'S GONNA BE SO PISSED AND THEN I'M GOING TO GET YELLED AT BECAUSE YOU LAZY F*CKERS CAN'T DO YOUR EASY ASS JOBS!"
"We're back stage."
Jack found us and instantly started yelling. "All of you are back here. Really. It just goes to show you who really cares, doesn't it? All of you are back here doing god knows what AND I'M GOING TO GET BLAMED FOR IT! I SWEAR I'M SO SICK OF THIS BS! NO ONE CARES, NO ONE HELPS, BUT EVERYONE EXPECTS ME TO WORK!" We all just stared, startled. And then he turned on Luce. "And you. I f*cking HATE that you ut yourself, hate that you're being so stupid you could F*CKING DIE! I SWEAR IT'S LIKE YOU HAVE NO BRAINS AT ALL SOMETIMES!
Jack continued screaming, but all I noticed was the tears edging their way into Luce's eyes as she ran out the door.
We called to her, "Lucinda wait! Where are you going? Come back, he didn't mean it! Lucinda!"
Cal was the first to run after her, followed by Isaac, Sam, Ben, and Willa. It was just Kaitlyn, Jack, and I left.
I turned on Jack. "I'm going to f'in kill you." Then, Kaitlyn punched him in the nose and we went after everyone else.
