3rd person Parfait POV:She had started the draft(s) of her letter at 5 PM, it was now 1 am. She calmed down from her excitement and got focused on writing them. They had all been finished, all that was now left was to choose which one.
'Does Princess Cookie have access to the internet? Should I post them online?... But I want it to be a surprise for my fans, especially those in Hollyberry Kingdom..' The brown eyed cookie thought to herself, stretching from the hours of typing and deleting.
'I should probably make some food,' she thought, realizing she hadn't eaten ever since coming home. The sound of rain echoed against her windows along with the lo-fi still playing.
She realized she was shivering so took a blanket from her closet to accompany her to her kitchen. The whole house had speakers, she had activated the kitchen speakers before leaving.
Living alone got creepy and lonely at night with the silence, now that she was in a village. Parfait had previously been living at the city overseas but decided she needed a break from the fast bustle. It got lonelier there than here after she finished college. All her friends split up to pursue their careers and went off on vacations after the stressful years of school had finally ended.
They had a group chat and sometimes exchanged letters, sometimes. They all got new friends who were in their new area or at their work. But she also got her own after moving to the Kingdom. She did miss the sounds of the city, how near everything was, she was grateful she had much more stamina from before in the city though.
Enough reminiscing on the past, she was hungry and it was 1 am. She had to get some sleep and food. She went to the temperature button and turned it up to relieve herself from the shivering she was experiencing. She finally got down to business and started making a quick but filling enough meal.
After she had finished and put the dishes in the sink she went back upstairs to her room. She locked her door out of pure paranoia, you could never be too safe even in a cozy and welcoming kingdom. She went back to her laptop and opened up a browser, searching 'choice wheel' and clicking on it. 5 drafts she had written, she put in 5 options.
The wheel started spinning and landed on 3. Parfait sighed a sigh of relief, all she needed to do now was make some quick corrections. She deleted the other 4 drafts, she didn't want to go rereading and picking them herself out of uncertainty. She went over the third draft and made corrections and reworded some sentences. She would write the letter in the morning, it was already 2 am after all.
She closed her laptop, the curtains, and turned off the light getting cozy in bed. Finally going to bed, the exhaustion of everything she did today hit her. Yeah it wasn't a lot, but focusing on singing and playing the guitar was harder than it looked.
In the morning...
Drowsily waking from her long sleep, Parfait looked at the digital clock on her night stand. It was 10 am. The morning sun spread across her room, making it warmer than before. She could hear the morning birds chirping and the soft chatter from outside. She slowly got up, rubbing her eyes and opening the curtains.
She went to the bathroom to freshen up, she smiled softly in the mirror, walking back to her room to quickly write the letter. When she finally finished she began to get ready to go outside for the day. It was 11 am.
At her door she put on her shoes, wearing breathable clothing that would make sure she wouldn't melt from her clothes and the sun. She made her way to the post office before seeing Espresso Cookie. He wasn't speaking to anyone at the moment so she went over to him with letter in hand. "Good morning Espresso Cookie, are you free at the moment?" the white frosted cookie asked him. "Good morning Parfait Cookie, I am free at the moment, why so?" he greeted back, "I was wondering if you could reread this letter, I'm sending it to Princess Cookie so I want to make sure its appropriate and formal enough." "I see , hand it here," he held out his hand for the letter, examining it, quickly finding something, "It needs a seal instead of tape."
She had completely forgotten that it needed a seal, she didn't have any seal stamps of wax so it slipped her mind. "You can get one at the post office, so make sure to ask the workers for a seal." quickly directing Parfait. He carefully removed the tape so it wouldn't rip the paper, taking out the letter and reading it. "It looks good, you did a good job" he complimented her letter, she smiled at that, thanking him for proof reading it. "Thank you, that means a lot to me, I'll be off now. Please don't tell anyone about what's in the letter." She asked and he replied with a nod, they waved at each other as they continued on with their days.
She reached the post office after a 9 minute walk, walking in she greeted the worker at the front. "Hello, I was wondering if you could seal this letter for me?" she asked the worker, "Of course we can, do you plan on mailing it here too?" the worker asked as they took the letter from Parfait, quickly putting a seal on the letter. "Yes, I do, to Hollyberry Palace if that's okay." answering, hoping they could deliver it to Hollyberry Palace. "Of course we can, it'll be 700 coins," the worker said, putting the letter in a box labelled 'To HollyBerry Kingdom'. "Thank you so much! I was worried you wouldn't" she nervously laughed, giving the coins to the worker.
"Anything else?" they asked, Parfait shook her head, "No, thank you, I hope you have a good shift today." She beamed, clearly happy as she waved leaving the post office. She put her hands up in excitement, she could barely wait for a reply, even for it to be delivered. She went off about her business for the rest of the day.
