Lisa's POV

"Lali, let's go?" I asked, adjusting my jacket as Somi carried in her bags.

After what happened earlier, we ended up at my condo. She said she'd stay here for now since it's cheaper than her hotel. I agreed to help her move in

"Wait, Lis. You're rushing. I'm hungry," she pouted.

It was already 6 AM. She wanted to have breakfast outside, so of course, as her host, I decided I'd pay.

"One gyeran bokkeumbap, gimbap, bulgogi... and one pineapple juice," she ordered.

I raised a brow. "For the two of us?"

"No. For me. Dumbass."

"Wow, can you even finish that?"

"Yes. Faster, the waitress is waiting for you, stupid. You're worse than my neighbor—he orders three days' worth of food at once."

I rolled my eyes. "Yangnyeom chicken and a soda for me, please."

Just then, my phone rang. I almost ignored it, but Somi gave me that don't you dare look, so I answered.

"Yes, unnie?"

"Where are you, Manoban? Jennie messaged me last night asking if you're coming home today."

"Tell her I'm coming home later. She's probably asleep right now, so let her rest. I'll surprise her."

Jisoo scoffed. "Surprise her? Dude, you're not overseas. You're literally in the same city."

"LOL, unnie, I'll call you later. I'm eating breakfast with someone—"

"Hellooo, Jisoo!" Somi suddenly shouted from across the table.

Jisoo's laugh rang through the line.

"Oh, you're with Somi, huh? Careful, Lisa. If Jennie finds out you were at a resort with someone, she'll go crazy."

"Bye, unnie!" I hung up quickly just as our food arrived. My stomach wasn't the problem, though—I suddenly needed to pee. Leaving my phone on the table, I excused myself.

Somi's POV

Lisa's in the bathroom, and my mischievous side takes over. I glance at her phone.

She's too careless. Same password since we were kids—her birthday. I told her to change it a million times, but she never listens.

I unlocked her phone and smirked. What would happen if Jennie saw this? Would she regret what she did? Or would she not care at all?

I quickly snapped a picture without Lisa noticing, then returned the phone just in time. When she came back, I acted as if nothing happened.

"See you again soon," Lisa said later, handing me an extra key. "Always lock the door, okay? And don't worry, if you stay here, no one has to know. Not even my wife."

"Fine, hon," I teased, winking.

Jennie's POV

"Mommy, wake up! Auntie Jisoo called. Dada's coming home, yay!" Liam bounced on the bed, holding my phone. I must've left it in his room last night.

Beside me, Lisa chuckled softly, eyes still closed. That smile—ugh, she's so unfairly cute. That's why she's my wife.

"Hide," I hissed, trying to nudge her away before Liam opened the door.

"Open the door, Liam," Lisa called.
I slapped a hand over her mouth.

"YAH! We're still naked, are you insane?" She glanced down at my chest, and I could tell where her thoughts were going.

"Whatever you're imagining—NOPE. Get dressed. You said you're taking Liam somewhere today."

"I will, hon. But you're coming with us," she smirked.

"Where? You know I have work."

"To the beach. The one I went to last time."

I narrowed my eyes. "And where else did you go... besides there?"

"I actually went home last night, but my friend asked me to drink. You know, she just got back from abroad."
She sounded honest. I hated that.

Because if she was honest, then why was she out until 3 AM... at a hotel... with someone else?

"What about you, babe? What did you do with Liam?" she asked, pulling on her shirt.

"We went to the mall. Ate. He played for hours."

Lisa's POV

"Dada, you're here!" Liam shouted, running straight into my arms.

"Of course, baby. Dad should always be here when you wake up. What did you do while I was gone?" I asked, even though I already knew.

"Dada, someone—"

"GOOD MORNING MY BABY!"

Jennie's voice cut him off, her arms wide open. Liam instantly turned to hug her instead.

I smiled weakly. I wish it could always be like this.

"Are you saying something?" Jennie asked, catching my murmur.

"No, babe. I'll just pack first. Can you handle breakfast? We're going to the beach—"

"WHAT?!" she snapped, startling both me and Liam.

"Why are you overreacting? I told you earlier. If you don't want to come, I'll just bring my friend instead—"

Her glare was sharp enough to slice me in half. "Are you threatening me?"

I froze. Without another word, I bent down and started packing Liam's clothes instead.

"Liam, want to help Mommy make pancakes and eggs?" Jennie asked sweetly.

"Yes!" he grinned, rushing to the kitchen with her.

Later, while Jennie folded her own clothes, I slipped behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"I miss you," I whispered. "I can't stand not being with you. I can't sleep. I keep thinking... how could you leave me for him?"

"I'm packing," she said flatly, brushing me off.

How do you sleep so soundly, Jennie? While I'm here... waiting, hoping, praying that in the end—I'll still be your home. That you'll still come back to me.
