"Oh my God."

This was certainly something I was not expecting when Chifuyu called me saying there was a minor inconvenience and he needed some help with it.

Minor.... inconvenience.....

"My car... is fucking dead."

"Y/N it just needs a little bit of repairing—"

"You killed my Toyota."

"Takemichi was driving."

Before I knew it, I was being physically restrained by Mikey, with Takemichi screaming and backing away in absolute terror. I was out for blood today, he was going to go with my car— straight to heaven.

"I'm sorry! Sorry, oh God. I'm sorry."

The car was the closest thing I had to me. Not because it was given to me by someone special or something, but because I had almost murdered a lot of people while driving it, and those memories were worth being cherished.... I guessed.

"Do you guys... know how to drive?" Mikey interrupted, his voice low with uncertainty.

"...See that's what Mitchy made me believe—"

Takemichi let out an offended gasp, "Suddenly everything is my fault!"

"Well, because it is!"

"I sprained my wrist, nobody cares about that!"

"Calm down, Mitchy, don't yell." A pair of hands— Chifuyu's —held him back, but I was actually hoping we'd be given the chance to have a fistfight because I could feel nothing but blistering rage and violence was quite possibly the only solution to solve this.

"I'm not going to hit him."

Mikey was still wary of letting me go, but I forced my way out of his apprehensive grip, pulling out my phone to ask someone for help. I was not going to just leave my car here, I didn't even know if it was legal to do that.

Mom... yeah, I was never telling her about it.

"I— I will pay for its repair costs. Takemichi too! We promise."

"It's... not about that." I let out a long-suffering sigh, exhausted by the events of the day, "It's late, you guys should go home."

A strong sense of foreboding radiated from the trio, and I was clueless as to how to respond to it. I hated when people stared at me with a pitiful gaze, as if I was some lost puppy who had nowhere to go.

"So... who are you going to talk to? I mean, who's gonna help you out with this?"

"Rindou."

Mikey's face was screwed in confusion, seemingly unsure of why I considered him. It appeared like everyone except Chifuyu had forgotten about Rindou's existence altogether, which I couldn't blame them for, because we'd been way too preoccupied with our problems lately.

"His brother is the one who helped us with Mikey's CB205T, remember?"

"Oh right, his brother's into tinkering and stuff."

There was a glimmer of hope in Takemichi's eyes, and I could almost read the elated look on his face. 'I'm free', it screamed... as if I'd let him get away with this that easily.

"Now that I've reassured you guys that I'll be fine, can you... please leave? It's really late." I glanced at the screen of my device, and then at Chifuyu, "And you, it looked like you were awaiting someone. Maybe they're there by now."
