"Padawan Tano. I assume you have a plan, coming all this way out here to help on a whim doesn't seem right, even for you." Windu asked skeptically as the group met him in the city square and began making their way to the makeshift command center. Cavalry trailed behind, her annunciator muted as she listened so she could make notes on her HUD about the briefing they received by the General. Ahsoka nodded at said general.
"Yes sir. Cody and Cavalry will be staying here to run point. Me and Jesse will be tracking down Anakin and the Chancellor, and Rex and Fives will be searching for the missing bounty hunters." She said, putting her hands behind her back. The general lifted an eyebrow.
"That's your plan?" He asked skeptically. Cavalry blinked twice.
"The general is skeptical. Try and assure him?" She muttered, watching the words appear on a side panel on her HUD.
"To my men's credit... it's not my plan." Tano said hesitantly. Windu glared at her.
"If this wasn't an emergancy I would never let... FINE! Archive duty, one month. Just get the karking Chancellor back." He growled.
"Can be swayed by pressure, but cranky with punishments for off book stuff... which this whole mission is. Expect KP duty for the rest of your time in the GAR." Cav added to her notes.
"Understood. Anything you can give us?" Ahsoka asked as Windu lead them away from the ship. Windu sighed.
"Anakin missed his last check in about an hour ago. And... about Obi-Wan. He was supposed to infiltrate Bane's team to learn of the plot to kill the Chancellor. We lost contact with him days ago, until today. I assume you saw the footage?" He recounted. Tano nodded.
"Yes. We didn't believe it at first though." Master Windu sighed.
"Well, then I hate to tell you. Obi-Wan Kenobi has fallen." They arrived at a command center. General Windu made his way over to a holoprojector mapping the city. He tapped it. "This is where we lost contact with Skywalker. I can't really tell you much. As for the other two bounty hunters, I can only wish that the force may be with you." He closed his eyes tiredly. Cav frowned. Less information than she had hoped. She glanced at Fives and twitched her head to get his attention. She managed a series of clumsy ARC signs at him, she was out of practice and filled in what she could with what she hoped was understandable motions, asking if he thought they should change anything in the plan. Fivers gave the negative.
"Never count on more information coming." Cav added to her notes. Ahsoka and the others set out, leaving her and Cody behind. The general dismissed himself to go tend to some other potential lead while Cody and Cavalry looked over the map of the city.
"What do you think?" Cody asked her, looking up from the holomap. She couldn't see his face through his visor. Cav shrugged.
"I don't think anything really." She gestured at the map. "There... isn't much else to go off of."
Cody chuckled a little. "Take some good notes?" He asked.
"How did you know I'm taking... Oh my kriffing oisk I'm still muted." Cav hastily turned her annunciator back on.
"... Oops." She coughed awkwardly. "Sorry. I didn't get anything really good though. And I said that I don't really think anything of this until Fives and Jesse start reporting to us."
Cody nodded. "Tip, unmute when generals leave, and just talk aloud for notes. It's perfectly fine."
"Got it." Cav's communicator crackled from Fives.
"We found a lead from a local club, apparently somebody was showboating their involve with the chancellor's arrest and we're looking into it. Sending location now." He said. Cav smiled under her helmet.
