Ana grips her curls in her fist as she sits in the corner of her bedroom trying to regain some sort of sanity. The voices in her mind were chatting constantly. She rocks back and forth trying to ignore and silence the voices telling her to not only end Adonis but to end her life as well. The only thing that was keeping her from doing it was her children. She needed them more than they needed her.
Truth be told she didn't wanna be alive anymore these days.
Anastassia pulls at her curls again as tears leave her hazel colored eyes.
"Shut up! Shut up!" She shouts. Hugging her knees closer to her chest she continues to cry. "Why? Why me?" She cries out again.
She had been through so much over the past few years, things that no person should ever have to endure, of course it had taken a toll on her mental health negatively. Her breakdowns were nothing new, but had become worse since she had come back and been around Adonis.
She continues to rock back and forth trying to calm herself down. She hears the doorbell ring and snaps her head up. Not sure if she was hallucinating or not Ana crawls over to her bedroom door and waits to see if she hears it again. The doorbell rings again and she snatches her door open. She stands to her shaky legs and slowly walks down the hall to the front door. Hesitant to open the door because she still wasn't 100% sure what was real and what wasn't right now she waits.
"Anastassia? Baby open the door."
"Adrian?" She whispers.
Ana knew she had to be hallucinating because Adrian lived over 8 hours away. What could he be doing here all of a sudden?
"Ana? Are you okay? Open the door for me." Adrian speaks. He had heard her shuffling toward the door so he knew she was home. "It's real baby... it's me, open up."
Ana pauses and slowly turns the doorknob to let her lover inside. Instantly his arms wrap around her as she breaks down in a fit of sobs. Adrian holds her tightly allowing her to cry as much as she needed while he tried to calm her down. Rubbing her curls and whispering in her ear.
"What are... you doing here?" Ana whispers after a few minutes.
"You haven't answered my phone calls in two days. I had to come down and check on you. Where is Ayla?"
"She's with Angelle....."
"How long has this breakdown been happening baby?"
Ana shrugs. She didn't know how much time had passed the last thing she remembered was stepping out of her shower, before finding herself rocking back and forth on her bedroom floor. Adrian was use to this. He was always patient and loving when it happened making sure to comfort her and shield Ayla from her while she tried to come back to reality. Adrian hated so much that her ex had done this much damage to her. Adonis had no idea the things Anastassia went through now thanks to him.
"Come on. Get dressed, I'll make you something to eat." Adrian mumbles.
Ana nods and stands with his help. She goes to get dressed and returns to the living room to sit and relax. The voices had gone quiet for now, only seeming to really bother her when she was alone which gave her a sense of relief. After eating dinner with Adrian the couple cuddle up on the couch and he watches tv while Ana stares blankly at the screen her mind in a different place.
"Are you ready to come home now?" Adrian ask snapping her back to reality.
"Yes."
"Then come on. Get Ayla and Ayden and come home with me."
"I can't..."
"What are you worried about?" He ask his voice soft as to keep her from getting worked up again.
