A Magic Knight is what everyone, except a few people, aspire to become. Magic Knight's fight for the honour and justice in the Clover Kingdom, well that's what they claim. In the Magic Knights you have the people who don't do anything and slack off, or the people that abuse their power to get what they want. But even when there are these types of people there are also the kind and helpful souls who do fight for the countries sake.

The day of the Magic Knights Entrance exam has come, all sorts of people came to take the exam in hopes of becoming a Magic Knight. They would sign in at the register and then enter the stadium, where the exam will be held. People entered one by one and slowly the line whittled down, but it took a long time to do so.

Finally after what most likely was a couple of hours, the final person registered. The last person was a boy in a black cloak. "Name" the registrant said looking at the hooded male. "Ruin." they replied. The registrant waited for the person to tell them where they where from, but continued on when they realised they weren't going to get an answer. "Grimoire." the cloaked person got his grimoire out of his satchel, that was hidden under his cloak, and handed it to the registrant. The man registering them took the book from its owner's hands and got ready to use his magic, but stopped in shock when looking at its cover. After a minute or two he regained his composter and finally registered the book. "H-Here you go. Your number is 512" the registrant muttered handing the grimoire back. "Thank you." the guy named Ruin said as he put his grimoire away. "Oh um, by the way, you'll need to take your hood down." Ruin nodded and slipped off his hood. Ruin had white silky hair that looked soft to the touch, icy blue eyes, pointed elf-like ears, pale white skin and a slightly looking feminine body. His figure stood at a height of five four, slightly under the average height for his age.

Ruin entered the stadium to be met with the infamous anti-magic birds. They flew around the candidates with low, or average mana levels. As soon as the whitette entered the arena the birds all flew away. Everyone turned their heads to where the captains would be seated, but were left with confusion when the captains still had yet to arrive. They weren't the only ones confused, when the captains arrived they wondered why they could see no anti-magic birds flying away at their presence, well all but one that kept his eyes on the white haired candidate.

"Candidates. Sorry to keep you waiting I will be conducting this exam." the captain of the Golden Dawn, William Vangeance, said as he brought out his grimoire. "Magic tree, descend." once he read the spell a tree grew from the sky. The branches grew out and handed each candidate a broom. "We will now begin the Magic Knights Entrance Exam." William declared. "We will now have you all take serval tests. The nine of us will evaluate your performance, and then we will select the candidates that we would like to add to our squad. If chosen, you will join that squad. If you're chosen by more than one squad, you may chose the squad you would like to join. On the other hand, those who are not chosen by any captain are not qualified to join the magic knights." after the explanation was over the exam began. Everyone got on their broom and tried to take off. It worked well for some, but for others they lack magic control. There were only two expertly in control of there magic a ravenette named Yuno and Ruin. Yuno was just gliding around standing up, as for Ruin he was catching everyone's attention with his fast speed and excellent control. "Those two have great control." the masked captain stated. "They're just peasants." Nozel, captain of the Silver Eagles, commented but didn't deny William's statement.

As the test continued on, a girl suddenly shot up into the air. She had lost control, it was easily shown by the way the broom moved and her screams. Not being able to hold on any longer the girl began to plummet to the ground. The Magic Knights on standby got ready to save her but stopped when they saw something shocking. Ruin had jumped off his broom and began to forcefully made his way to the ground. When Ruin was close enough to the girl he grabbed onto one of her legs, and with his free hand whistled. His wooden broom, like it was commanded, went above Ruin. The whitette wrapped his legs around it and slowly lowered him and the girl to the floor. "Thank you!" the girl cried. "You're welcome. Next time try and feel the mana flowing through your body." Ruin explained. "O-Okay, thank you."

"That was some impressive skill." William said as he watched the whitette. "Incredible! He must of trained for years." Fuegoleon Vermillion exclaimed. The captains were in awe, Ruin had just proved he had even more control then they originally thought. 'This kid just made himself even more interesting.' the captain of the Black Bulls, Yami Sukehiro thought.

Next was the Magical Ability Exam, everyone had to fire their magic and hit the rock wall and destroy it. Most people either did no damage, or created a small dent, with the exception of Yuno and Ruin. After that it was the Magical Control Exam, were they had to fire their magic at targets. Then it was the Creation Magic Exam you had to create something out of your magic the candidates made a lot of interesting things with their magic but Ruin did the best, he created a dragon out of light and wind magic. After that it was the Developmental Magic Exam were you had to turn a seed into a plant by putting your mana into it, Yuno managed to create what everyone thought would be the best one there until Ruin showed him up by creating a full on tree by using a bit too much mana.

"I'm so so sorry!" He said bowing to everyone with an embarrassed face. 'At least I didn't put in all my mana other wise that would end bad.' Ruin thought to himself with a sweat dropped look. The whitette then got rid of the tree confusing the captains and examinees, because to them they just saw the tree vanish.

"Alright. The next exam shall be our last one." William says standing up. "You will engage in actual combat." gasps could be heard from nearly all participants. "You'll be battling!" Yelled the Crimson Lions' captain excitedly. "You will pair off and fight with your partner. You may use your grimoires to attack. Fighting is our duty. Show us your true abilities!" "As soon as one of you yields or becomes unable to fight, the exam will be over. There will be mages who can use healing magic on standby." captain Vangeance explained. "So fight to your heart's content!" Fuegoleon Vermillion adds. And like that people began to look around in search of a partner, on the other hand Yuno stood by the wall not caring who partners up with him and Ruin well he kinda gave up since no one asked him.

The first contests were up, it was a blonde noble named Seeke and a grey haired boy named Asta. Seeke started to insult Asta while he used his bronze creation magic to create a barrier. What the noble said really pissed Asta off because he quickly reached for his grimoire pulling out a sword, with pure strength he broke the ground as he swung the sword breaking Seeke's barrier and knocking him unconscious. He then declared that he will become the wizard king, people then began to whisper about Asta.

After many other matches and confident smiles from victors. A noble approached Yuno with a smug look. "Why don't you fight me." The long blonde haired noble boy said smugly. Yuno agreed and both boys walked to the centre. "That's Salim, a powerful noble." "That commoner has no chance." People said but there were two people in the crowd that disagreed, they were Ruin and of course Asta. The fight went on with Salim using a lightning spell named after himself. Yuno didn't flinch in the slightest, instead once it got closer to him he unleased a powerful spell himself. "Wind magic, towering tornado." And like that a tornado pushed back the lightning, once the spells cleared it was visible that Salim was knocked unconscious. Yuno casually walked back into the awestruck crowd. "Final combatants." The announcer said. Without knowing who he was battling Ruin walked up to the centre to see a noble girl looking, well very snobbish. "Humph. Why do I have to face a peasant?" She groaned. "I look forward to our battle, miss." Ruin cheerfully said, as the battle had begun. "Your going to lose anyway, your just a weak commoner. Fir-" She tried saying, but as she was about to say her spell she was covered head to toe in ice. "Oops I overdid it again." Ruin sweat dropped. "Well at least I didn't use to much mana, that could have ended badly." As he said this aloud he unfroze the poor girl. "Sorry." Ruin bowed as he then walked back into the completely shocked crowd. "W-what just happened?" Nozel asked quietly. "This kid is amazingly strong, he can use more then one attribute too." Yami exclaimed with a laugh. "H-he didn't use his grimoire." Charlotte stuttered. There were no words to describe the fight that just happened.

Finally it was time for the captains to chose the candidates that they would like in their squad. "This concludes the exam." William states. After an explanation of what was going to happen people began going up one after the other, but very few were chosen.
