Drew this for art class then found out it was supposed to be a sketch for a project we were gonna do

So I was like "oops" and came up with something completely different, cause there was no way I could have turned this into the project we were doing

We had questions to answer in the beginning of the year to figure out what themes we would like to explore, this one above is about the stigma of showing emotions in public and other stigmas males specifically face

So the main guy is the one with the art book in his hand, he's short, arty, emotional, likes anime, and otherwise not things society expects of men. Societal standards of men are to like sports, be strong, rich, handsome, etc. but he is not afraid of being himself, hence the tilted up head

We were actually doing a paper sculpture project (cardboard was ok too), which I'll show what I did below

I decided to use another theme of mine, Japan, as it was another theme I was interested in.

The question behind this one was "What is the one place you've always wanted to travel to?" or something along those lines. I've always wanted to go to Japan, I love the architecture and attention to detail in Japanese design. And I also wanna see how clean it is there compared to the US ngl

I hate those trees but I'm really proud of that house, wish I had more pictures than this. I also put a small electric candle in the house, and cut a hole in the bottom of the base, so it can be turned on if it's on display

I was a little late in getting my project done but my teacher was fine with it as she saw I was putting in the effort

Did I ever post the clay sculpture I was working on? I don't remember if I did

But yeah I'm working on one and it's not going great

It looks like it's already 300 years old

But a classmate of mine suggested using foil to help strengthen the wire under the clay so maybe I'll make another one

I used natural clay, wire mesh for the wings and some regular wire

Barn owl yarn sculpture for the same art class

Surprisingly got this done on time, it was due last Friday

I made it in a way so that it was bendable so it could be posed
