WARNING! Don't start reading until you look to the right side of the screen. Somewhere, there will be a video with a picture of Alyssa Ried. Play it when I say so, you'll understand why.

Me and Phoenix were cuddling on his couch. [PLAY THE VIDEO RIGHT NOW!!] "'Till now, I always got by, on my own. I never really cared until I met you. And now it chills me to the bone, how do I get you alone?" I sung quietly, grinning from ear to ear.

He heald me in his lap with my arms draped around his neck and his on my waste. "You have me alone right now, baby. And you started caring when you were a day old?"

I giggled. "Mhm!" I nodded, stealing a kiss as a little girl with the same straight, black, shiny hair as Phoenix pattered into the room.

"Da--" Phoenix thew a hand over her mouth and her giggles erupted the room. Phoenix shot a look at me and whispered into my ear; "I'll be right back."

He grabbed his little sister's hand, whose name was Penny, and pulled her into the other room. Murmers were exchanged and they ducked back inside, Phoenix still holding her hand. "She said "da" because she's only two. Isn't she cute?" The little girl smiled and her front lefttooth was missing.

I nodded, believing him like always. As I nodded, I stood up and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Pho..."

"Yea?" He whispered, planting a swift kiss on my cheek.

"Let's talk...alone?" I whispered back, just high enough so he could hear and just low enough so Penny couldn't.

He smiled, letting go of her hand. "Go play with Mommy, okay?" He untwined my fingers from his neck and leaned down to her level, pecking her forehead. She nodded and scampered away.

He stood back up and wrapped his hands around my waste, slightly grabbing my ass. I layed my hands on his chest, feeling his six pack. I tried not to moan, as his pack was astonishingly impressive. He pulled me close and smiled.

I smiled back as he threw a kiss on me, our tounges fighting. I could taste pizza on his breath from the dinner we had. I groaned softly as he bit my lower lip and let go, still tasting my mouth. I groaned a bit louder.

He picked me up without hesitation and brought me through a thick doorway. I felt the cool air nip at my skin bare as I was only wearing a tank top and shorts.

I giggled and heald onto his shoulders and kissed him once again, our tounges waveling around each other. We entered his garage and he stopped kissing me. I felt a warm blanket on my back as he layed me softly on his bed. He stared at me. "Baby?"

"...Yes?"

He lowered his eyes, and I suddenly realized what he wanted. "No."

He nodded. "I understand..."

I pried at the blanket and pulled it over me, patting the other part of the bed. "We're only 17, I'm sorry." My mind thought different. We had been dating for over  a year now. I wanted him. Practically NEEDED him.

I jumped on him without thinking and started to take off my shirt. "I can't wait. I'm sorry, but it's go time."

He smiled and helped me with my shirt. Tonight might have been the best night of my life.

Now I know what you're thinking. 'Oh gosh, you guys had sex!' Truth is, no we didn't.

We were just about to, though. This was every girl's fantasy, right? Having a perfect boyfriend and you were about to have sex for the first time, alone and safe in his arms and laying on his bed [Yes, he slept in the garage. I didn't mind, though]. Turns out his dad came home early. [His mother died in a car accident when he was five.] His dad walked in JUST as we were putting the condom on. Best part of the fantasy, huh?

"I'm sorry, love..." He sighed, wrapping his arms around my waste and kissing my lips passionately. I pulled back, staring into his eyes.

"No worries. Maybe..." I ran my finger tips around his chest. "Next time?"

He picked me up again and started to walk me to his car. He led me into his car and planted his lips onto my forehead. "I love you."

I said that I loved him back and we drove off to school, me rolling down the windows. "Baby, no, it's cold."

I laughed. "Exactly my point!" I turned to stare out the window. The trees and birds rushed by the car. If only I could be like those birds. I could fly free, anywhere I wanted, anytime I wanted, without a care. I could be myself and not have to worry about what ANYBODY could say to me.

He grabbed my stomach and tickled me until I screamed. "My god, Pho! Watch the road!"

We heard honking and a car swirved past us. I flinched into my seat and screamed again. "Pho! PHOENIX!" The next car didn't swirve. It was a black Ford and it ducked into our windsheild, the glass flying everywhere. I screamed in panic many times, grabbing onto Phoenix's hand. I swear to god, if we died that day, if we died that way, I would never forgive him.

"I'm so--" He was cut off by his air bag going off, and his head snapping back with a sickening crack, it sounded like a twig getting cracked in half without hesitation, and we were stuck in the middle of the road. "My god!" I screamed as another few cars hit it. "Phoenix!"

He just groaned. I jumped out of the car and ran to the other side. "My god, Phoenix! No! Phoenix! Help, somebody help us!" But another honk interupted my screams.

"Look out!" The trucker screamed, and a blow to the head made me dizzy. I looked up and all I could see was the metal under the truck. "Hello? Hello!" I pounded the truck and tried to get myself out. The tires squealed and something struck my arm.

"Sylvia!" I head Phoenix scream. I felt dizzy, the world spun and blackness was engulfing me even more and more every blink that I had. "Phoenix..." My body couldn't take it anymore. I slumped onto the pavement, or grass or whatever I was on. The rocks dug into my back but I didn't care. I must have been losing blood, because I felt weak. I couldn't take it, even though the love of my life could have been dead.

"Somebody get that chick out of there!" I heard a siren go off, like a police car. Oh my god, thankyou. I'm saved! I felt hands on my shoulders and somebody pulled me from under. The pain in my back and arm and head was excrutiating, making it hard to breathe.

"My god! Sylvia!" I heard Phoenix whisper. He grabbed my hand and tucked me into his arms. "I love you. I love you I love you I love you!" He pursed through sobs. Funny, it was the first time I had seen him cry. We had known each other since we could walk. He didn't even cry at his own mother's funeral. Now do you see why I love him?

"Let her be! Her arm might be broken." An officer pulled me away.

"Well I might die."

A thought pursed through me, if he was to die...I'd never be the same again.

"So let me see my damn girlfriend, bitch!" He fought for me, holding on and kissing me roughly, holding my hands to my breasts.

"Ph...Phoenix...this isn't the t-time...we can see each o-other at the hospital. I love you..." I purred into his neck as I gave him a small hickey.

He groaned softly. "I love you too...we have to try...again when we are feeling better..." He cooed into my ear.

And I nodded, slowly letting go of his hands while I let the officer drag me away. "I love you!" I shouted, my throat hoarse.

"I love you--" He coughed. "Too!" His love causing my heart to rise to my throat and let out the smile I had been wanting to burst out since we met. I had never smiled at him like that before, though we had always had better occasions. The crash was my fault, too. But whatever happened, he'd always be my boy, my love.

He smiled back in return, making me wonder if that was going to be the last two smiles we could ever exchange. If we never smiled so lovingly to each other before, why would it come now? The plain and simple answer lurked inside of me, no matter how much I tried to burry it deep between my other thoughts.

We might die today.
