Unlike every other day, he waited at the parking lot. Noah sat on the stairs with his chin on his palms. Josh promised he'd meet him at the school there but he still hadn't arrived. But Noah patiently waited.

This was a new thing- Noah waiting for the blue eyed boy to arrive, that is. It was something they planned on from the day prior.

After a minute or so, rolled in the shiny benz and inside it was the blue eyed boy, grinning as he noticed Noah waiting for him.

He ran down from the car, not forgetting to wave his chauffeur a bye. Noah stood up too, styling a grin of his own. They ran towards each other, their backpacks swinging distinctly behind them.

It was just the third day back to school, but the usual excitement and the vivid stories that students were telling each other didn't stop. Such was the mood of the school and that's how the children were- light.

For some reason, Josh and Noah had separate classes for art. And both were equally upset about it. They bid farewells that day, meeting again in the next class.

Art went horribly well. Josh managed to spill almost an entire container of paint onto a girl's lap, spoiling her neat blue dress. She was bawling her tears out but Josh managed to calm her down. And when he told Noah of what had happened in the art class, Noah just laughed and said something along the lines of Josh and his charm.

Today was no different than it had been the previous day but Josh couldn't help but feel different. Carefree, rather. He felt like a bird on the hills, plummeting down the cliff and picking up pace again only to swoop upwards this time. Josh was new to the birds, he couldn't see them very well before in the busy city life.

The sun today was shy, with the black, dark coloured clouds settling in front of it. That explained the sudden hotness in the late August climate.

Josh promised to take Noah home that day, with their mothers' permission of course. So there they went, in the car again. Now that Josh was here, Noah's transportation arrangement was changed- instead of going over with Jacob, he went along with Josh.

As expected, the driver drove through the line of houses that Noah had only been through once. It was where the well off people lived with their fake faces and fake smiles- only acting interested when they had some motive. Noah shook himself, telling him to tap himself out of it. Not all people were like his step mother.

And Josh was definitely an angel-sent.

As the car stopped by a modern looking white mansion which looked like the ones in movies, Noah was amazed. And when he complimented Josh about it, the blond boy only smiled at him.

The house was amazing looking, even the modest Josh knew that. But he worried if Noah would hate him for it. For being rich. His mother had sat him down and explained to him how some people would look at their fortune and hate him for it. He knew Noah was far from being like that.

"Come on." Josh said and followed Noah, into the grand looking house.

They were greeted by a very wet golden retriever puppy who jumped onto the standing Josh and licked everything it could find. The puppy looked at Noah, first in confusion and then gave the golden eyed boy the same licking treatment.

"Down, Jules." Said Josh laughing the way Noah scrunched up his face when the dog licked the said boy's shoe.

"Well, this is Julian. Jules. He's barely a year old. He's very energetic, isn't he?"

And Noah only laughed heartily at this as Jules started licking his hands.

They then made their way to Josh's bedroom, flooding in with the shiny arctic blue wallpaper, neat brown carpet and furniture all spread across.
