A few days passed and Dylan hadn't looked twice in Dorian's direction. It was starting to get to him. The bite marks had healed and he felt bored and horny. Dorian watched as Dylan lifted up bags of mulch over her shoulder from the kitchen window. This was all her fault. If Dylan hadn't felt so good to be with. Then Dorian wouldn't be sitting here feeling so frustrated.

Spitefully he took a bite out of the muffin he was eating.

"Whatcha doing sugar plum?" Dorian heard the southern twangy voice of Ms. May. He turned just as May caught sight of Dylan in the window. "Got quite the crush on my Dilly don't you?" She remarked, Dorian flinched and looked away. "I... I don't feel comfortable talking about your daughter like that." He mumbled. "Dorian, sugar, I ain't stupid. I know you two already went at like rabbits the other night." May said frankly to him. "Dylan's been eying you since you first got here. It was only a matter of time before the gal gotcha!"

Dorian paused, "She... She's been watching me since I've gotten here?" He asked. He had wondered if Dylan had similar feelings for him. He had been fearful of her just seeing him as a one-night stand. After all, she hadn't touched him since then. "Yeah, she had quite the crush on you. Said you looked like an angel." May said settling down on a nearby stool. "Till ya opened your mouth." May snorted, "I ain't ever seen someone fall out of love so fast!" She laughed. "You must be special to get her back so easily."

Dorian winced, "I was a bit rude when I first came here. I apologize." He apologized to May who waved him off. "Oh, sugar. I understand, this place must look like an outhouse to you! Francis wasn't any better when he first came here! He was constantly terrified of snakes and rats! Thought they were going to crawl out of every corner he turned!" May then motioned over to another window behind Dorian. "But now look at him. He looks like he's at home." She said as Francis held up a fish to Quinn that he caught.

"Just be good to her while you're with her Dorian." May said softly, "My Dilly may act tough but she's got a soft heart." May said looking back over to Dylan watering some sunflowers. "I ain't asking ya to be with her forever. But don't break her heart if you can help it." Dorian was quiet, "I'll try." That's all he could offer at the time. "That's all I'm asking sugar." May got up and left into the other room after that.

Later that evening Dorian wanted some time alone so he sat on a bale of hay in their old barn. He watched as the free-range chickens headed back towards their coop just outside of the barn. A goat glanced at him before headed off into a stable with a donkey slowly following behind. "Do those two sleep together?" Dorian asked. "That's Emmy and Cale." Dorian looked over to see Dylan walking into the barn. "They're in love." She said snorting as the goat settled down next to the donkey.

"We tried getting Emmy to go with the other goats but. She took one look at Cale when he brought him home and followed him around since." Dylan explained. "Really?" Dorian said sitting up on the bale of hay. Dylan sat at the end of the bale and smirked at him. "What?" "Can you not stare at me from the window in the kitchen anymore?" She asked, Dorian's face turned red. "How did you-?" "Mama told me." Dylan said sighing, "She came up to me going off about how I'm torturing you. Something like 'Dilly that poor boy is as antsy as a cat on a tin roof! Don't torture the poor thing!'" Dylan said mimicking her mother.

Dorian groaned, Dylan chuckled, "Mama means well, sorry if she made you feel weird." She said softly. "It's fine. It's just embarrassing." Dylan grumbled. "You could've just talked to me," Dylan said scooting up further until she was next to Dorian on the bale of hay. "What was I supposed to say, 'I'm horny let's fuck?'" Dorian sighed exasperated, "Yeah, I guess? I'd like it if you'd romance me a little though." Dylan joked.

Dorian felt bristled by this, "Well it's good to know that you find it funny!" He exclaimed getting up only to have Dylan pull him down between her legs. "Let go-!" Dorian started to shout but Dylan kissed him softly. Within an instant he melted, Dylan pulled away from the kiss and Dylan sat in her lap dazed. "Do you still want me to let go?" She asked quietly. Dylan's fingers lightly touched his cheek as she tucked some hair behind his ear. Dorian felt like his skin was on fire.
