Chapter 2: In Care of the Princess. Parsee's Jealousy

Y/N POV

Preparing myself for getting scolded, i walked in direction to the shrine following my instinct and soon managed to arrive at the village, where many placed their gaze on me and waved

Y/N: As friendly as ever

???:"Y/N! Over here!" A little girl's voice sounded nearby

Looking at the direction of the voice, i saw my friend Kosuzu Motoori coming towards me, who stopped infront of me

Kosuzu:"Here you are! Reimu has been really worried, you know?" She quickly said

Y/N:"How much has it been?.."

Kosuzu:"Three days! Where even were you!?"

I stopped to think

Y/N: Three days? Time flies huh...or probably i was just unconscious during that time... "Yeah i...had an incident and fell down a hole"

Kosuzu grabbed my hand and dragged me along, both going towards the shrine

Kosuzu:"Be more careful, we can't have people dying here..." She scolded

Y/N:"It's alright, i met a friendly Hashihime that took me in, she even took me up here safely"

She stopped

Kosuzu:"A....Hashihime? The youkai of the underground!?" She talked-shouted

Y/N:"Yes? But she was really kind, don't worry-"

Kosuzu:"No no i'm not worried, but tell me some more about them, the books of youkai from the underground are mostly empty and i always wanted to know!"

Once we arrived to the shrine, she letted go and walked back to the village

Kosuzu:"Well, come by tomorrow, i'll gladly hear you out!" Said the librarian while heading off

I took a deep breath and walked to the shrine's door

Reimu:"Hold it"

But before i could knock on it, Reimu's voice was heard at my side and a broom's stick hit my hand which made me retrieve it with quickness

Reimu:"You finally arrive, where have you been!? I've been looking for you all around you know!?" She scolded with clear anger

Y/N:"Sorry sorry, i had quite the trip..." I responded while scratching the back of my head

Reimu:"A trip? A trip to where?"

Knowing she'd probably be rougher with her scolding, i decided to lie

Y/N:"The...forest? Yeah i got lost but i survived thanks to some friends there..."

She just let out a sigh

Reimu:"Not every youkai is friendly out there, so be more careful if you don't want to end death, i can't take care of you all the time..."

Y/N:"I know, i know..."

She handed me the broom

Reimu:"Once you're finished, come inside, i'll give you some tea" With her words she left to the inside of the shrine

I relaxed a bit and took firm grip of the broom

Y/N:"Well, once i'm done i'll just rest my neck..."

Since sweeping is boring enough, allow me to explain some stuff meanwhile. I live at the shrine as an outsider, we made the agreement that i'd stay as long as i helped around and could leave when i got a place to stay
