Investigation

Third Person's pov:

   |• A creature emerged from the ocean and walked with no struggle towards the beach despite his wet and heavy uniform. Sebastian breathe in deeply before he glared at the land.

"If my calculation is correct...the Agriche mansion should be at north", he whispered to himself before his eyes glowed red, then he dashed away towards the north.

From the Agriche's mansion, Vermeil sat and ate her breakfast quietly. She felt a sting on her neck so she immediately rubbed it, realizing that the itchy feeling came from her mark she immediately went and faced the mirror.

The demonic mark was glowing, she almost let out a relieved and excited smile as she opened the windows of Dion's room gazed at the forest around the mansion.

"Sebastian...", she muttered to herself.

"What are you muttering about?"

Vermeil flinched at the sudden voice that came from behind her. She turned around and saw a shirtless Dion, fresh out of the shower.

She turned away from him with a hum, "I'm just thinking about the German dog my family used to have...", she lied.

"Is that so? How is it?", Dion asked, walking towards beside her?

"He died during an unfortunate accident"

Dion glanced at her, "A fire...?"

Vermeil didn't react...

She just gazed at the forests down below. With her brilliant eyesight, she spotted a flock of birds suddenly leaving their branches and took flight with haste...

Like they saw a predator.

Dion thought that Vermeil seemed suspicious, she didn't do anything but it was suspicious. In a hurry, Dion grabbed his coat at left the room.

Vermeil sighed...a flock of crowd flew around the castle towers, she took a peek of the scene.

And so finally, a crow appeared from below and landed on the window in front of her.

The crow had brilliant crimson eyes, Vermeil knew exactly who it was.

Dion's POV:

     |• Slamming the door shut, I immediately went downstairs and ordered the guards to investigate the forest that surrounds the mansion.

"Don't leave any details, our little bird might have someone free herself from this cage..."

Dion ran a hand through his hair.

"Having troubles, brother?", a voice said from above.

I looked behind me to find Roxana smirking at me from the top of the staircase. I narrowed my eyes at her...

"Roxana, if I find out that you're helping Vermiel, I will have your head", I threatened. I don't care if you're my sister, I'll kill you...

She only laughed, " Keep your delusions to yourself, brother...". She walked away, "keep them to yourself ~"

I clicked my tongue when a guard came in, "My lord, we found nothing but a flock of birds on top of the mansion, everything is normal", he reported.

I huffed, could Vermiel be a crew master? " Shoot all of them down, and burn them", I ordered coldly.

The guard flinched before he jogged out of the mansion.

I sighed, "maybe she is having everything her way", rubbed my temples in frustration.

Not yet, I have to bring back her memories of me before she leaves.
