I let out a breath as I took the food they gave us. I don't know if I can eat this without dying... What if this is one of their sneaky games. I can't die, I have promises. I have my brother waiting for me.
"You don't want the food?" Her again?! I glared at her in disbelief. Is she my tail? My shadow? She's really following me around.
I didn't gave her any answer nor emotion. I just stared at her mesmerizing eyes. She's quite pretty... Nah I'm hallucinating, but really, her short hair suits her. Soft looking lips, pointy nose and hypnotizing smile... Hypnotizing? Who said that?
"Am I naked to your eyes?" She mumbled, chewing her food aggressively. Disgusting.
"You know what? I'm so hungry, If you don't want your food... You can give it to me!" She suggested, again, I ignored her. I give a look to the food, it's a well balanced meal. I need to gain energy. I closed my eyes when the food touched my tounge, the taste lingered inside my mouth building my appetite. Trying this is maybe not a mistake. It's just my overthinking... If this food contains poison then there will someone who'll gonna fell on the ground, coughing to death. Right?
"Heh! You! Free us!" A man yelled, pointing the masked guy.
" Please, let me go home! I have a family!"
"I don't want to end up dying..."
People started begging, kneeling, crying out loud for help. Shouting in anxiousness and fear. Trembling, hoping that the masked guys give mercy and set us free from this strange room.
"Please I have a newborn child... Let us go..." She cried for mercy, her knees are on the floor, bowing down her head. "I haven't named her yet... Please... Please I don't want to die!" She pleaded still not giving up.
"You signed the contract." The guard answered.
"No, no please don't leave us here... Free us!"
"Hey! The rules said if the majority of the players agree to put an end to the game, you can let us go... Right?" A man shouted desparately.
"Uhh... Yeah." The masked guy replied.
"Let us vote then!"
"Vote!vote!"
"Let us vote!"
"Request accepted." He said. "But before we proceed to voting, please check out the money you gained for the first game."
Tons of money was distributed inside the piggy bank, making me feel hopeful. That's a lot of money.
"Each of the players died in the past game, worth 100 million won. Out of 456 players, 201 players remained alive. 255 players died for the first game, therefore there's 25.5 billion won in the bank now."
"That's a lot of money..." I glanced at her, she's looking upward with glint of happiness in her eyes. The amusement in her face is engraved and her mouth is open in incredulity.
"Hey! What if we passed the six games? How much will we get?"
"45.6 billion won." He answered. " If you choose to leave the game, then none of you can take the money home. The family who lost their love once will receive the money as contributory. So vote wisely"
They left us to let us think for our decision.
"Hey you! Do you want to go home?" I stared at her dark brown eyes, Our height difference is quite aloof. I can't stop staring at the sight... Her eyes are pursuading me to just look at her with admiratio- I shook my head and started walking.
"Where are you going?" So many questions! Annoying.
"Come on! Are you mute?"
"Somwhere I can't see you." I can't breath properly whenever she's around. She's making my heart beat faster, feeling so much unnamed emotions.
"Am I that annoying?" She laughed, holding her chest, and pouted. Her pink, thin lips looks so soft...
"Yes." I sighed. She laugh hysterically. "I'm succeeding then."
"Succeeding?" I asked.
"Oh... Now you're showing interest?" She smirked at me, Forming a wide smile, trying to tease me. It's not working though, It doesn't make me feel annoyed. Her smile is calming, yet dazing. I feel like I'm under her spell. Nonsense.
"Whatever."
"You can just say please tell me and I'll tell you, but you didn't? Prideful!" She said glaring.
"Oh... I forgot! Do you want to be friends?" I glanced at her hands as she put it in between us, telling me to shake it.
"I don't trust anyone but myself."
The voting started. I already made up my mind. I will continue playing, do or die. I will fulfill my promise to Cheol.
Yes.No.Yes.No.
In the end we ended up getting thrown out the mysterious place, lying on the floor with blindfold in my eyes. GREAT! life really sucks.
"Hello?"
"Are you tied too?" I asked when I heard a familiar voice.
"Yes..." I keep on fumbling, until I hold his blindfold and instructed him to get my knife in my pocket because I still can't see.
He cut the rope in my hand, and I immediately sat down to grab the knife on him and untied myself. I dressed fastly as I can.
"Hey where are you going?"
"Leaving."
"Hey, hey, hey! Wait! Help me!" I shrugged my shoulders and watched him struggling and begging for my help. I can't stop myself from laughing seeing him on the ground, moving like a worm.
"Please help me!"
"I can't, you might hurt me. Remember? You attacked me earlier, charging me about your lost money?" I said.
"I won't... Please help me." He begged. I sighed before cutting the rope, I'm about to untied his feet from the rope when he hold my arms.
"Bring me back my money!" I pushed him before untying him quickly and run.
We were instructed to just go back again if ever we changed our minds. They'll just gonna give us the same invitation cars.
Even I can already smell the fresh air from the wind, It didn't change my mind to go back. It's the only solution to my problem. No one can change my mind... Not until I go home with those money in my bank.
I'm gonna go back.
