Chapter 4

 Okat this gonna be the final chapter cause i feel like this was a proper way to end it...read on find out wat goes on :)

It has been hours and a shot of pain struck through my legs causing me to fall to the ground. Running wasn't an option for me any more. My head began to spine and my heart felt like it was going to explode. All I wanted was to be home drinking hot chocolate with my sweet younger brother and my loving parents. Instead, I was stuck in the middle of no where, running for my life with the man that I love. I just wanted this all to be over with and live my life. I can't take it any more, I just can't. Tears began to run down my face and I had no strength to stop them. Maybe if I just close my eyes for awhile everything will go away. That this all would end up being a bad dream that I never wanted. So I just lied there in the sand, staring at the dreadful sunlight as it slowly faded into darkness. That was until I felt a pair of hands lift me from the warm ground.

“ Amelia no! Stay awake”

“ I can't do it anymore, I need to rest. Its just to hot and my legs hurt so much Joesph. Please can we stay here for a bit, just sit down”

“ Alright, but not for to long. They might have found out we left, which means they are probably looking for us right now” I didn't know how to respond back. Happiness and fear were the two emotions that were released inside me. All I thought about at that moment was being able to rest and regain enough energy to find shelter. We stayed silent for a couple of minutes until it was broken by I shaky voice.

“ Amelia, can I tell you something” I shifted my gaze from his shirt to his eyes, and I could see the hurt building up inside him.

“ Yeah”

“ I did something, something that I completely regret” tears began run down his face and for some reason I had a feeling this involved me. I slowly lifted my self off his lap and sat myself face to face, ready to take in the information that was coming at me.

“ What ever you did shouldn't be that bad, right?”

“ I was supposed to do something, something that I didn't want to do in the beginning but was forced into”

“ I don't understand” I just stared at him with confusion. I didn't understand were he was going at with this.

“ I didn't have a lot of money to begin with in life. I was supposed to do something for someone. They said they would pay me $20,000 if I get the job done, and I took it” That was a lot of money he was dealing with. I was going to ask him what he was supposed to do. That was until I noticed movement coming in from the distance.

“ Hey Joesph, can you see that?”

“ See what?”

“ That, see its moving towards us” I said pointing towards the moving object. I squinted my eyes to get a better view.

“ Oh my god” This can't be happening. How did they find us? We were running for so long and we didn't leave a single clue behind us.

“ H-how did they find us?” he stuttered out.

“ I don't know, but should we run?”

“ There's know were to run to” All my hopes came crashing down the moment I laid eyes on that damn van. It pulled up in front of us and the two men got out and began to walk towards us. My legs began to shake, and my stomach began to turn. I slide my hand into Josephs one last time knowing that this was the end for both of us.

“ Come on Joseph, really! Run away with the hostage” My body froze at the words that came out of his mouth. What did he just say to Joseph? My fingers untangled from his hand and I began to back away.

“W-what?” I stuttered out.

“ Joseph, you can't back out now! We gave you the money and now you have to finish the your job” the old wrinkled up man said with a dirty smirk. That's when I realized what Joesph was talking about earlier. That he was being payed to kidnap a girl and kill her, but instead they got me. I couldn't believe that this was happening to me.

“ You kidnapped me! You brought me here! How could you do this to me! “ I yelled in his face. I couldn't even stand looking at his face due to the amount of disgust building up inside me. The man that I loved betrayed me. The man that I love wanted to kill me.

“Amelia listen to me! Yes I was supposed to kill a girl, but it wasn't supposed to be you. I tried to get myself out of it, I swear I did but they wouldn't let me. So I thought might as well, until I started to get to know you. You were so kind and caring and I started to grow feeling towards you. That's when I knew I couldn't do it and we had to get out of there. I did try to tell you, but I was to late. Amelia I swear to you that my feeling towards you are real. I love you Amelia” I just wanted to die on the spot. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. He was actually going to kill a girl for money.

“ I hate you so much, you lied to me this whole time!” I spat straight at this face.

“ I'm sorry to break the love fest here, but Joesph over here has to get the job done” What was wrong with these guys. What was killing a girl going to solve.

“ Why do you want to kill me so badly? What have I done that has caused you to put me in this position?” the old man walked up in front of me with that same smirk tapped across his face.

“ I'm sorry sweet heart, but you know to much” And with that he grabbed the back of my hair and dragged me to the ground, causing me to let out a blood curtailing scream. They dragged me far away from the van as possible and held me in spot. All that I could see was sand and nothing but sand. The same view I woke up with and I same view I was going to end seeing.

“ Here boy, use this” one of the men said while tossing Joseph a 9-inch pistol. He caught it with his right hand and held it. I looked in his eyes hoping that I would see some sort of sign telling me that he wasn't going to do it.

“ Please Joseph, please don't do it. I don't want to die” I began to sob. I looked into his eyes once again, and all I could see were tears streaming down his face. I felt like for the past few hours all I did was cry. That all my confidence and strength that I started off with just vanished the moment we stepped out of that van. I knew that this was the end and there was nothing I could do about it. I just shut my eyes and kept quite, waiting for that bullet to pierce through my body.

“ I'm so sorry Amelia, I love you” Those words were what killed me.

'BANG!'
