Chapter Seventeen: The Woes of Mr. Blackthorn

One week later, in the morning we arrived at the school, and then the headmaster called us to the student council room. I think that he told us about the delinquents in detention. Aiden changed his ways and became one of us and he participates as a treasurer of the student council. He is not an under-class man but he looks like one. But he's not.

Aiden seemed to be a man who is quite good when it comes to video games and he's almost the de facto brains of the council. The smartest ones in the chart were. Me and Alice. Aiden is the third place of smarts and Lucy is in the last. One thing's for sure she has a mystery on her own and I want to figure it out.

We were chilling in the room and then saw someone went through the door. It was Jacob Blackthorn himself. What was his problem this time? Was it about Sally or something like that?

"What is it, Jacob," I said. As he was peeking through the door with his eyes "feel free to open up to us. What is it?"

"Yeah," said Alice, cheerfully as she was sitting on her chair "you know we can help, right?"

"Oh yeah, about that," he said. Hmm... I think that Jacob and Sally are getting along pretty well, I guess "I think I want to spend more time with her more. I mean it's been a month since we hang out... should I tell it to her?"

Wait, at that moment you just want to confess. Could you like to wait for a year or something?

"I think you shouldn't rush into confessing already," said Lucy. She was good at this kind of thing. Was it related to her past from her previous school? Or maybe not? "I mean, like, don't rush things when it comes to stuff like that. I think you two should get to know each other a little more."

"Yeah, I forget to tell you something," he said. I think I want to intervene him but I think it was something important about Sally or something like that "you know that she is moving, right?"

Oh, she's moving to a new school? Sally's going to move into the new school when she moves on to senior high? That's just sad for him.

Both Alice and Lucy were stunned at this moment. I guess they didn't know about it. Aiden was not surprised at all. He was just sitting there, playing video games.

"There's a rumor spreading around about her moving," said Aiden, calmly. While he was still playing video games "what are you going to do now, Jake."

"I don't know," said Jacob, I guess he's in doubt about himself. I guess this is the second month of school and then the first quarterly exam is over. I guess more things can happen in this school year.

Then, I have an idea in my mind. I don't know if it might be perfect but does it really have to be?

"Jacob," I said and I pat on his shoulder, "I think you should take your time about this. There are a lot of things that can happen in this school year. So don't waste it and don't rush it in, okay?"

Everyone looked at me with stunned expressions on their faces. Including Aiden. Which he was still playing video games and all.

Jacob nods to me and said

"Okay... I guess I'll take your advice, then."

Then he smiled and gets out of the room.

I know there are a lot of things that can happen at this school and this school year is something exciting and fun, sort of.

Moments later, I arrived downstairs in the hall and I think that they do get along pretty well or something. I saw them together hanging out or something. I think they are flirting in some way. I don't know, I just don't want to see each other flirt on the school grounds. But I don't care. Does Alice care about it though?
