It was an oddly warm day in the middle of fall, Bella was told to go home early from her job since she was already in over time. Haley had the day off so she was already home.
"I'm home." Bella called out as she shut the door with her foot. She heard a soft huff before a reply.
"Since you're home early, get your ass in here and help me set up this tv." Haley called out from the living room.
"Alright, give me a sec." Bella replied back as she slipped her shoes off and sat her bag down on the dinning room table as she passed it. She grabbed a debbie cake brownie from the kitchen before heading to the living room.
"God damn it!" Haley shouted as she chucked the remote at the couch after the umpteenth time of the TV not turning on.
"Did you check the batteries?" Bella asked as she walked into the living room. Haley paused before glaring at Bella.
"Shut the fuck up." Haley said as she snatched the remote from the couch while Bella tried to stifle her laugh.
"Jeez, dummy. Anyways, why'd we get a new TV, thought the other one worked fine." Bella said as she rounded the couch to approach the TV. It was a flat screen and looked pretty new.
"Got it from some dude for like only $20." Haley said as she struggled to get the battery pack open.
"Probably stolen, oh well. Cops don't come around these parts anyways." Bella said as she sat down on the couch. Haley had finally gotten the battery pack open and was now putting the batteries in the remote. She pressed the on button and the screen lit up. It was a random horror movie that was shown. "Nice... what did you do to the other tv?"
"Um.... this morning after you left, I kinda sorta threw my boot at it."
"Stupid." Bella said with soft laugh before she yawned. For some reason she felt a massive wave of exhaustion wash over her. "Are you.... are you also very tired... suddenly?" Bella said as she resisted the urge to let her head fall onto the throw pillow and pass out.
"Yeah..." Haley mumbled as she moved to get comfy on the couch. She grabbed the throw blanket off the back of the couch and almost immediately passed out. Bella shortly joined her in sleeping after she kicked one of her legs over the back of the couch and curled the other leg up.
