Morrigan stared at the wundersmith in front of her in awe. Decima Kokoro flicked her wrist and the water in front of her shifted into the form of a deer, bounding gracefully around the room in front of the students. Morrigan was sitting to the left of most of the group, with a water bottle in front of her. Once she had succeeded in moving a chair across the room in a weaving class, Sofia and Conall had decided to upgrade some of her classes.

The thing was, weaving was hard. Morrigan could understand the concept, convincing wunder to create a reality where an object exists, or something had changed. Putting it into practice was where she had trouble. Morrigan had made some splashes in puddles, which was nice, but not at the level that Decima wielded her water. Rook had said she didn't expect Morrigan to get it on the first try. But still, it would have been nice to have had some success with water weaving. At least Elodie Bauer and Rastaban Tarazed were having difficulty as well.

"All I expect you to do today is to try and make something. Weaving was my first imprint, but I remember how long it took Mathilde to master weaving in any form. Her talent lies with tempus, as I'm sure you know. Any questions?" the wundersmith that looked in her young 20s asked.

Elodie raised her hand. "How long did it take you to make Cascade Falls?"

Decima laughed. "Once I actually started it? About a week. It took me three months to gain access to the land, and I had the idea a month before I actually started doing anything about it." She looked at Rastaban, probably checking to see if he had any questions. She clapped her hands together and said, "Well, I'll let you guys get to it! It doesn't have to be anything big and if we aren't done by the end of class then we'll finish next week. Feel free to brainstorm with each other."

Morrigan stared at her water bottle, twisting the lid off. Well. Time to get to work. An otter? She made a deer. Decima also made Cascade Falls though, and she doesn't expect younger wundersmiths to do things like that. Morrigan wasn't really trying to impress the long dead wundersmith and she knew it was just for practice. But she also knew that she liked being able to accomplish what the other younger students in her class could.

She straightened as she had an idea. Slowly she leaned forward and pressed her hand into the water. Morrigan began humming. She imagined a world where the water was swirling, forming a whirlpool. The mini whirlpool she imagined began to rise out of the water, shifting until it was laying parallel to the ground. The young wundersmith pictured it swaying from side to side, thinning closer to where it connected to the water bottle.

Morrigan opened her eyes. She felt herself tiring slightly, but ignored it. It was there. The water snake slithered from side to side in the air. From head to tail, it could probably fit in her palm honestly. It's movements were slow and sluggish, not what she had quite pictured but still amazing. Morrigan thought it was adorable. She remembered Hawthorne naming a fire-horse she had made. Jeremy was what her best friend had chosen. Morrigan looked at the creature and smiled. She would be dubbed Selene for now. Grimacing at the exhaustion that came with using her knack, Morrigan dropped her hand and the water splashed onto the ground. Oh, she would absolutely be showing her friends her success.

Author's note: I based the naming things part on my friends naming a monarch butterfly we found outside Jeremy. Thought Hawthorne is the type of dude to find a rabbit and name it Blaze or something. Anyways, I'm going to release this early so I don't forget to tomorrow. Hope you liked it! Also please let me know if anyone is out of character.
