tws: capital abbreviations I think?

Lamya stared into the crystal ball. This wasn't exactly what her knack was for, but it had the same principle and she was willing to try it. Her visions, usually playing in her head, were supposed to be transferred into the crystal ball. Or that was what she was told. If she could do it, it was supposed to help relieve some of the pressure and help with the headaches, as well as allow other people to see her visions. All in all, a useful thing to know.

"Alright. If this doesn't work for some of you, you know the drill," Miss Silene droned from the front of the room. They indeed knew the drill and two of the augers, a prophet, and Lamya herself walked up and grabbed the objects that worked best for them. She grabbed the obsidian mirror. There weren't enough people for multiple classes of Propheteering, Divination, and Future Telling (or PDFT), which mean that Lamya knew most of the other future-tellers. It also meant that of what future-teller remained, they didn't share the same knack.

Lamya knew she was lucky that Miss Selene understood that and had done her research on the knacks of her students. The minotaur instructor usually let them experiment with whatever worked best for them, but she would give them challenges once in a while. The way Lamya had grown up with her knack was being struck by illnesses soon followed by visions. In PDFT she had learned how to tune out certain visions until they were about to happen so she didn't have a migraine that lasted weeks. She had also caught flashes of something in the obsidian mirror. It had been to blurry to make out what it was, but after she had seen it some of the pressure in her head had abated and she had felt better.

Today she sat with her eyes closed and the mirror in her lap. Her hands traced the cold silver that wrapped around the edge of the stone. She closed her eyes and tried to 'fade', as Miss Selene had called it. The stone was slowly growing warmer, as the lighting seemed to change in the room. Colors flashed behind her eyelids and a buzzing, jittery feeling was present from her arms to her hands. Mostly in her hands.

She thought she could hear voices. A scene formed in her mind.

"Why would you think fighting a half-troll three feet taller than you was a good idea?!!" the stout blond figure shouted at Thaddea.

"I almost beat him! Almost!" the heavily muscled red-haired figure responded angrily.

As Lamya's eyes flickered open she glanced at the mirror. It still wasn't crystal clear and the figures were really blurry, but they were there. Huh. If that hadn't happened yet, she'd have to try and warn Thaddea. Or Anah. Thaddea probably wouldn't listen to her, but Anah would. And Anah was terrifying. Lamya felt her lips twitch as she thought bout Thaddea being scared by Anah. Her unit was chaotic and could be insane, but she absolutely loved them.

Does Lam count as a side character? I sure hope so.
