We had finally made the arduous journey to the capital of the Clover Kingdom, and I got to say, I wish we had flown in or did something that was better than all of that running. I know I trained hard for this day, but all of that running has left me exhausted and starving. Although, given the circumstances, running was perhaps our best chance to get to the capital before the royal knight entrance exam, otherwise we would have to wait a whole year just to take it. In any case, we were here, so we can just move on, sign up for the exam, and spend our last few hours as non-royal knights in the most important city in the entire kingdom.
I got to say, I don't know what I expected of this place, but they somehow surpassed those expectations. instead of the large empty grass-filled fields we had grown up in back in Hage village, the capital was filled with people and buildings built one right next to the other with the streets being nothing but bricks, with not a patch of grass anywhere to be seen. So many shops and so many people, it's a lot to take in.
Asuna: *in awe* Whoa, this is awesome!
(Y): *surprised* I knew the capital would be big, but I wasn't expecting it to be this big.
We seemed to be in the middle of a market as there were stands for flower shops, pottery, even fruits and vegetables, all being cared for and made by magic.
Asuna: *excited* These fruits look so tasty.
Fruit stand owner: *while peeling an apple with magic* They're fresh.
Meat stand owner: *while roasting a enormous chunk of meat on a spit with fire magic* It's almost done roasting.
Asuna: *drooling* That looks so tasty.
Yuma: Asuna sure is enjoying all this capital has to offer.
(Y): *smiles* Well, what can you expect when you take an overly energetic girl out of a small farming town and take her straight to the busiest city in the kingdom? Though to be honest, I do like the looks of this place.
We then passed by a shop that had a window display of various swords, armors and brooms.
Asuna: *excited* They have such cool staves and items! *looks at price tag, shocked* But they're so expensive!!!!
(Y): *scoffs* Come on, it can't be that bad. *looks at tag, Jumps back worried* That's a lot of numbers!!!!!
Suddenly, my actions caused me to bump into someone as we both fell to the ground.
????: *in pain* Ow, ow, ow.
(Y): *worried, jumps up* Oh my, I'm sorry I did that.
I turned to see that I had bumped into a woman with red hair and a blue long sleeved top with a long red skirt and a white apron on. I noticed that while she was on the ground, two large bags were knocked over and food had fallen out of them, not to mention the sound of a baby crying soon followed.
